Also I don't know how I fell about kai thinking my claim makes sense as LW. I don't have a problem with kai thinking I make that claim as LW (I think I'm less likely to but I think I could) but I do have a problem with kai making that claim BECAUSE I'm LW for the simple reason of I'm still not that familiar with all the mechanics in witch hunt and I'm not a mechanical player to begin with, I think I said "lolmechanics" in WH8 approximately 15,000 times.

The reasoning isn't complex it at all: LW claims Zealot to tell the Elder Coven that they need not worry about the role (because it's on the witch team). I didn't say that in the most recent post, but I did say that in my posts about it yesterday.

I don't know what dersehunt is but if it's panicked craziness which is what it sounds like then it /probably/ isn't for now. But I expect it to rapidly become so around D5 or so depending on how halftime comes into play

I think I became biased by the thinking mallorean was conf!town due to the protection thing, BUT I'm leaning towards him being town right now.

I strongly strongly think Kai's a witch. My main reason honestly is the strength of his scum-read on me. Like he KNOWS how I play and not only is he completely wrong, his reasoning doesn't even make me go "huh well I can at least understand why he thinks that." It feels to me completely faked and forced. Like not trying to actually evaluate me. Like trying to push me as hard as he can as a mislynch, and also a way to park his vote for days at a time, etc. If I had to guess, I strongly suspect he's a LW actually.

I'm leaning towards Owner being scum as well (obviously by now). Her I'm leaning towards EW, though if I find the time somewhere I'd want to look through her D1 wrt Tom.

I think Newcomb is putting on a fake!town mask, which strongly implies he's scum under the surface.

I am unsure where the fourth scum is.

Flipping to looking at things from the town perspective.

I still like weiyaoli for the same reasons as before, and Miner for the same reasons as before. I'm feeling strong town!vibes from Vaimes thus far toDay. Really like Silver in general. His Fluffiness as well, for his early play + I can feel him really trying to pin me down to figure me out, which I don't associate with his scum!play at all.

Still leaning town for jarizok although he's cooled off a bit, partly because he hasn't been doing as much lately?

I'm starrrrrting to lean town a bit on beruru, because her play just. I don't think I can jive it with EW at all at the least?

So I'm leaning towards fourth scum being Fable/dC, unless it's a LW in beruru?

Skipping posts that didn't ping me one way or the other because its my iso and I do what I want.

This was a response to dC's very early mechanics post. She hedges on him in an odd way like she's running out of legitimate reasons to scum read him but needs (or wants, I suppose) to keep doing it so she's reaching for one.

I can't actually believe she thought fluff was trying and failing to be seriously concerned rather than joking here.

So.... she asked Kai about Fable because he said the Zealot shouldn't claim at the beginning of the game and Fable did it anyway? Saying "Oh, he would have claimed as scum because XX" is one thing, but thinking Kai wants to lynch him just for not doing what he says is.... ???

"More in favor of lynching" is weird phrasing. Not "scum reading"/"thinks is a witch"/whatever. "In favor of lynching" sounds like a policy lynch or something. I'm pretty sure she just meant "would rather lynch Fable first" but it's.... weird.

And the "But what do I know?" bit feels kind of tacked on.

This is like. She's doubling down on the "hunt for all the witches at the same time and ignore that half of them aren't knowingly aligned with the other half because mechanics are hard" thing. And casting shade at dC for not doing that. Or maybe it was a joke that fell flat, I can't really tell.

Ok, so, she tries to back track to the more reasonable position of "find and lynch Elders first, they'll lead us to the Little Witches" but then.... stops halfway and does a U-Turn by saying she's just looking for all of them interacting together or something?

And the self-conscious comment with the cat gif.... Would anyone /really/ have thought this was a scum claim?

This isn't a real defense, it's just wine.

Vaimes' point is that the last time owner said she had a Beru read, Beru was null/lean scum. And other than that, owner has basically ignored her. But now she's suddenly complaining about people voting her like Beru is obv town or something.

Owner manages to side step that entirely by making it out like Vaimes is saying she's not allowed to have a town read on Beru.... but the point is that her progression here is terrible, not that she isn't /allowed/ to town read Beru.

Every single one of these reads is a hedge.

There's been like, 2700 posts at this point. But Owner has no strong town /or/ scum reads. Also, she didn't give a read on Beruru here.... lol. Vaimes said the same thing and she responded "it's implied" but we really, really need the /reason/ not just the read.

Reading into lists of players made by scum is the purest kind of wine there is. It's not even "rule of three" because there's only two names there! /Would/ tom put a partner in there, yes. /Did/ he do it? I don't think so, based on my reads of the two players. Owner (apparently) doesn't have a real read on either of them to base her conclusion on, though, she just thinks one of them is definitely scum with tom because this post exists.

This is like. Fine. Owner went from null/lean scum reading her to town reading her because she.... did a bunch of busy work posts. /Even if that's true/, and we're okay with that (we're not, but if!), how are we supposed to know she's solving the game if she never posts about it?

Okay, she was being lazy and didn't want to be wrong. But.... I dunno, the whole Beru progression and the read hedges and the "tom definitely put a partner in this post" and the shade on fluff for a joke and.... I can't.

So Vaimes is moving up her reads list because /other people are defending him/ not because he's being townie... Like, it reads exactly like she's decided she can't get him lynched so she's going to try the other instead. And she admits her reason for townreading Beru is weak... but if the reason she's townreading Beru is weak, why such a strong reaction to the CFD attempt?

Then she like, shades Miner some, says Beru is being rude for saying she doesn't have many interactions with other players or something, and does some other stuff I'm not quoting because it's late and I've been at this for hours. I kind of liked her poking fluff earlier, but.... that's like one thing I actually liked out of the whole fifty posts.
