Bullshit ! The results are bullshit !

    *Anarual refuses to accept*

Most people didn't Even look at the category !!! They just voted the fics they liked the most without actually looking at the other nominations!

Ment that they should have looked at the other fics too , every fic has its flaws and shouldn't win in every cathegory TFTCD isn't even Romance for example...or Noir.....

In that thing you call a closet. Better watch out,
Obviously they would vote for the fics they like. All voting is opionated.

Congrats everyone. Especially you Jbern; great job!

Congrats to winners, but I honestly expected the Jack of Diamond to take at least one of the places.

I agree with ip82. To be honest, while jbern is a great writer, TheJackofDiamonds is better imo.

Maybe he lost because his story hasn't gotten far enough; jbern has a lot of fighting, but The Hero's Path has yet to have a single one.

Anarual, please think before commenting. While I agree that some categories had mistakes, this category was Story of the Year. That means that you vote for the fic you like the best.

Yeah, I did too. I personally didn't think that Brown Coat, Green Eyes was one of Nonjon's better fics at all.

To be honest, this whole thing seems like a jbern shrine. Not that jbern isn't a good author, it's just name recognition seems to win people over. In some cases, it's an "if you're not a DLPer, you don't get my vote" thing.

Or a better analogy would be to pick the popular kids for football, and leave all the kids who know what they're doing behind.

Congrats to Jbern, and Nonjon. Both excellent authors and very excellent stories. It would have been nice to see another author get third, only because Bungle took first. But it doesn't make the award any less impressive. Well done, sirs!

I would've thought Taliath would've come first, but for Young Again: The Rewrite. Looks like people have forgotten how good his fics are because he's going through a dry patch - 2006 started 1 year, 1 month ago folks!

Had these awards taken place in October, I have a sneaky suspicion that liath would've muscled a few of the winners into second.

Well thanks for all those who voted for my stories. My own votes were for Bungle, then Shezza and finally Jack. I consider TFTCD a good story, but Bungle is my better work. Shezza completing his story counted for more in comparisson than Jack's work when it came to my votes. Both are excellent writers and their work ranks among my favorites.

Here's the part where I say some nice things about all the folks that help me with the stories. IP picked up an award for PR, but he also shares in all the awards for my stories. Same goes to Chuck, Nukular Winter, Japanesse-Jew, Jmcqk6, Cubdom, KillGinny009, Nonjon and the beta works of FairyQilan and Kokopelli.

This is the one catagory when opinion is everything. You can bitch all you like about stories not being a certain genra for ones like noir and romance but this catagory is ALL about personal favourite.

For this one I just thought "Which one do I most eagerly await updates for?"

I agree with Bungle gave Shezza second place and Second chance at life third.

This is bullshit! How could Taliath's story not be number one? Or not even in the top three!? I understand that the winners for the other nominations are a bit biased and unworthy. But this is the only one where I'm in complete shock.

For me, Young Again wins this hands down! Young Again IS the Best Story of the Year.

It's mostly because you have to vote to move on. Most people don't know Taliath, but they know Jbern. So they want to move on, so they end up voting for Jbern.

I actually thought Shezza's latest fic was his worst yet. RoA isn't even half as good as Anarcadia, Future Repremanded, or Cell Block 4D.
