Yeah, I know. But...... all she said was that he was spewed town, and not why? Even though she's town... her read not being explained in depth means that I can't fully, like... take in? Evaluate? Believe in? its strength. I wish she was here so I could talk to her about her reasons. I want to know the secret to Miner that I am apparently missing. I read her, like, "spiciness" read thing, but.... I don't really think of these Miner posts today as town!spicy?

When you refresh several times not realizing that you made the 1k post and need to turn the page.

It is not only Fonti. Jari is confirmed town now, and he hasn't been wrong on Miner in ages (maybe ever).

Plus Miner feels way more loose to me compared to other games.
Like he is not afraid of letting anyone down with his wild playstyle here and is just following his nose even if it leads him to the noose.

Back on a PC and the splitting headache I've had for the past 4 hours has finally calmed down, so huzzah!

Anyway, my reads haven't particularly changed much in the past day. Beru is still town, Jan's case on me is something I can easily see, nobody else has really slid up or down the scale.

    Except Miner.

Need to think through his "slip", back shortly.

Fable, how do you check the number of posts people have, again?

I am obviously extremely ok with GH vs Miner fight club.

Hey look somebody else figuring out one of the many many reasons fluff needs to die.
    --- Post automerged ---
Like the funny thing is that's not even the only thing wrong with his beruru read.

Beruru was already pretty involved d1 so that reason suddenly popping up as a reason to V read her doesn't make any sense. The back down is super real.

    Emphasis mine.

This is the perceived mindset slip that Delphine picked up on and Beru acknowledged (and didn't even really reference it in her big case).

I, uh, don't see how Miner's plan is ever worded like it is if he's town here. Like, "I intentionally did things that the people who know me would not townread me for but I also included legitimate pushes that people could perceive as TOWNSIDING" is, to put it generously, ?????

The first part of the quote I bolded requires a bit of squinting to see how it comes from town, but I do see it so we'll leave it be. We'll start from the "but I laced it with like, an actual push on fonti" part. There's a few things wrong with this:

    - First of all, his stated legitimate push, Fonti, is town. Not damning in itself, we're all allowed to make mistakes, but it's not exactly helping.
    - Secondly, the wording is super weird. In general I think reaction tests aren't particularly helpful anyway and an allegedly subtle and varied one like this is just doubly strange.
    - Thirdly, the phrase "could be seen as townsiding".

Why would you ever word it like this if you were town? Ever?

If you're a townie here, you don't care about people's perception of your cases, even in a world where you're doing weird illegitimate stuff as part of a reaction test since you acknowledged the Fonti push as legitimate. Miner saw something he didn't like about Fonti and pushed her for it, his only goal as town should have been to to see how things developed.

Like, I get that it might be part of his greater plan but I refuse to believe an elaborate reaction test supplants and honest-to-god case any in any townie's mindset.

    Makes sense.
I asked to get clarification because "willing to humor you" struck me as a bit off, as opposed to wanting Beru to explain so that you could get a better read on Beru (or even Miner) through her reasoning.
I guess that's dependent on how townie you think Beru is.

Too bad, I ninjaed you with the truth.

Historically..... and this is extremely historically, like the majority of Beru mafia history.... I haven't been that active as scum unless I get teammates I really like. The reads that people put forwards for me regarding that during WHI were correct - Caph and Fonti both being on my team did boost my morale by, like, a lot, even if Fonti didn't get to be around because of internet access loss and my predictions of how the game would go were correct, lol.

As in, if you're pretty sure both Miner and Beru are town, it makes complete sense that you'd ask Beru to elaborate "to humor (her)". Otherwise, I'd expect you to want reasons from Beru to try and solve Beru, rather than just to humor her.

But I guess it could also just be a difference in how we perceive that wording. Idk, maybe I'm reading too much into it. It just bothered me enough to want to know, so I asked.

You said MSPAfia, so like 6-7 years ago?
Is this all the way back when you went by absoluteCertainty?
    Some things never change, huh

Kek, I'm just messing with Beru
I'd never heard of MSPA, so I googled it and an old "list of MSPAfia players" came up with "beruru/absoluteCertainty" as an option. History on the list had the newest revision in 2012, so I figured the site was probably active 2010/2011 ish

Oh shit, I didn't know that anything like that was online.

I just assumed you had been talking to people. Proof of your hardcore meta diving, even if those games aren't online anymore. Lol.

Lmao no I wouldn't talk to people about how to read you mid-game. That's like, not ok.
But yeah I was afraid it'd come off as if I was "trying to look like I was I was doing work/metadiving" or w/e
That's why I explained it as quickly as I did instead of messing with you more, even though I don't think I'd ever call looking up 6-7yr old games "doing work" or believe they really had any relevance.

I keep getting called away. I even bought myself a NeuroSonic to focus on this but it's been wasted on running errands instead of writing
I probably shouldn't beat myself up over it, but it's frustrating

Gonna grill for the fam and then shut myself away on this
    Sorry for the incessant delays

I agree with this analysis. Moderately surprised to see it coming from GH.
    --- Post automerged ---
    Also agree with this.

@his fluffiness, if you are town: It would really, really help me if you could actually respond to the questions you've been asked and explain the thought process behind your posts. We're not mind-readers and a lot of what you've said is coming across weird.

    .

Update: Beru is now scumreading Asmo for trying too hard, but not in like a tryhard way? Like... trying too hard, but not about solving the game.

Wording is perhaps the second most bullshit thing to scumread someone.

But w/e. I'm mildly curious about Jan defending me the way that he has. Other than that, I'm lynching beru.
