The discussion with Fable is about as NAI as you can get (in a vacuum at least) - it's commentary, not really related to giving reads and whatever and stuff.

I don't really put much stock in trying to convince people you're a villager versus just doing your best to wolf hunt as generally if you put in an honest effort that will come across to other people and you don't need to convince people not to lynch you and hopefully you never get put in a position to get lynched. Because generally what I've found is if you get bogged down in self-meta it doesn't actually help people read you that much and you're not looking for who could actually be a wolf and essentially you're stalling in terms of progress.

I have no idea what alignment Zack is.

That's not true. Mafia is not trying to figure out who's mafia so that information is useless to them. What they're trying to figure out is who to NK and which mislynches to push, and when they make those decisions, they actually do need to know which townies are the most dangerous for them. Furthermore, if mafia does something mafia-y and town immediately tells them that they're doing something mafia-y, they can stop doing that thing and get away with it, whereas if they keep doing it for much longer, it's more difficult to explain afterwards.

I'm not necessarily going to be quiet per se, I just don't want mafia to know what I think of them until I have solid evidence.

 

I was typing up a ~lengthy response to this but changed my mind. I don't think you're replying to Newc on the same grounds/topic he was specifically talking about, but I think your post is a bit villagery for the way you did it.
