I prefer the medium length chapters. That way I get my fix, and it's not so long that I lose interest half way through.

you made some great points but my personal most hated short story type is when the story begins out of nowhere, no plot no begginging or ending hell no flashbacks or insight and is updated every other year. I belive there was a story that was once updated 4 times in the span of 4 min then never updated again.



Also Thalarian you don't need to apologize , its just that your writing is so addictive and i think you might be giving jk rolling a run for the longest stories/novels about wizards. Oh and I am sorry for using your story as an example as epic length but i haven't read anything that long in a while so thats the first story that came to mind.

 

Actually, as of right now, there are 13 stories of over 500,000 words in length. Don't believe me? Check here. This is not to slight Thalarian or any of the authors here, but they're hardly the most prolific writers around.

 

Used to love Cassandra Claire's 25k Chaps. After that, very few have come close. City of WoE is a good one. But, that's just about it.

 

I prefer 7.000 - 15.000 word chapters.
Only Exception is If the author can update weekly or biweekly 4.000 words chapters.

If I see the chapters of a story are average under 2.000 words I normally don't bother to read them.

 

True but Thal has only 2 chapters with many more to come while the others are very high in chapter(i din't look over the 43 pages of stories sry) but i'm asuming ,i know this makes me look stupid, that and like Dark Syaoran said quality.
