16 alive, probably 10/6, still some KP floating around potentially? If we miss today we're probably fucked.

I'm town, I'm pretty sure Vaimes is town, I think Fable/ScottOwner/Wei are pretty solid town. That leaves, what, 11 names and probably 6 of them are mafia. Ooph.

For me, it's really not about what people do, or even the words they use, it's the way they kind of.... conduct themselves. Mindset analysis blah blah blah. I think if you go back and read Scott's ISO through the lens of "this is someone's second game of mafia", you'll see that he just... doesn't really /know/ what he's doing and is just thinking out loud and yeah it's not relevant exactly but that's not what makes a villager. It's what makes a good villager, but that's not what we're trying to figure out. When Scott was in the game and I read his posts, at least four or five separate times he wrote something and I thought "if he's a wolf this game there's no way he posts something that loud", where loud in this case means like... drawing attention to himself? Standing out? Doing things for no real benefit as a wolf?

I consider myself pretty good at clearing newb town and I think he was one, which means I literally don't care what owner isn't doing - I'd like more from her, sure, but in the end it doesn't matter.

I /could/ be wrong and if the game hinged on if this particular person was a wolf or not I'd go back and refresh myself and see if those feelings still felt good, if that makes sense, but yeah, limited time and given the gamestate I'm just not going to stress about this read.

What was that thing? Let's talk about it.

Alternatively, if you've talked about it already, link?

Talked about these in the post above your post.

Because his activity toDay reminds me of me in the endgame of WH8. Complacent, reads transplanted from previous Days, and having two firm scumreads but doing nothing to convince people to vote there. He is 100% convinced Font and I are scum, but doesn't seem to care. Maybe he doesn't because I'm probably going to be lynched anyways, but then he says we need to lynch Font first because otherwise if I flip scum, no one will want to lynch Font because she's pushing me. Other than the post where he says Font first, he hasn't mentioned it again or is pushing to make sure we both die.

    Kill him.

Because when I vanished into the ether, he was desperately trying to convince people I was town when everyone else was ready to dumpster me. Even after I stormed out of the thread and didn't look like I was coming back anytime soon, he pinged me and asked me to come back. I modded a scum Fable game, and I don't think he would bother putting himself out there like that. What would he get out of it? Town points when I flip town? He wouldn't get much because he so glaringly sticks out and everyone is already considering why he has such a different opinion.

Tell me what Owner has done since she subbed in then get back to me.

This feels so passive from fontisian.

The meta-levels minefield I'm considering, currently, is would she post this after my EoD2 post where I dropped her to a scumread for a similar comment? As a wolf, I mean. I think she would. But I also kind of think she'd go more... strongly? Like, if that's the play, in her head. I think she'd think she could pocket me. Instead her approach to me this game as been... weak townread, moderate scumread for being non-spicy or whatever, then like, reluctant townread after arguing with Reg for a bit? (That last one may not be entirely accurate, haven't read D3 off phone-skim, doing that currently). Which, yeah. I suppose I could maybe see like, zig-zag off balance keeping a mislynch open, ish. It's a pretty odd angle of attack. Wolf fonti is shark fonti and she goes after weakness, in a sense, which is what I thought I'd caught her on when I was work busy D2 and she shaded me over it, but. This feels a little more textured than that? I think?

    @Vaimes

What do you think of fontisian's progression on me? Just lock me in as town for the purposes of this thought exercise.

@Vira what does it matter what Owner has done?

A lack of content/thread presence is not in itself indicative of anything. It can be a decent reason to shruglynch someone, but we're way beyond that.

In a gamestate where zero wolves have died, do you think on balance town or wolves are more likely to lose focus/motivation?

Especially considering the fact that owner subbed into a game with a billion posts, I have trouble seeing this as a legit angle of attack from you here.

I... don't really want to talk about that thing right now, sorry.

If you are looking for generic town reasons for her though, that I can do.

So Owner lost focus/motivation as soon as she subbed in?

I don't get what you're doing. I'm not voting Owner or trying to convince people to lynch her. There are better people for toDay. What's wrong with questioning her activity and content? Should I put her on ignore because she's still catching up?

    Why make this post?

    Man, I'm falling behind already.

Consider it as something important to me, don't want a situation where we lynch her, you die and I'm left ??? for days.

This just feels all kinds of weird to me? Would have thought that my alignment would be iffy and something hard for you to discuss if you're town here and I don't really buy the "36 hours away from the game led towards a confident read there" particulalrly when your reasoning for the read is something I'm just left going ??? at, had it been a "I strongly town read Zack so still think the slots town" I'd have found it much more understandable but if I'm prepping to replace into a game a big wall is something I can do as both alignments and I'd push a scum read / player as both alignments?

Vira calling out Owner for "what has she done" feels like Vira calling out Tsaiah for "no scumreads" when Vira is guilty of both.

What has Vira done? An ISO of Scott and a freak-out D3. Don't remember anything on D2 really except that posts by her exist.
What has Owner done? Subbed in, did some catch up quote questions that were of meh vaue, that's it.

Like Vira is glass house/stone throwing on this twice now.

    I was townreading Zack. :/

But would you be that aggressive right out of the gate when the game is going extremely well for you?

And I find it funny you're going "But I could do this thing" while at the same time saying "But Vira couldn't do this thing."

I had two full sleeps, a day of watching Let's Plays, and the wonderful feeling of never intending to come back to this game. Don't tell me what I can't do.

Oh I see. I'm now forbidden from calling out anyone of doing something I did.

Seriously. Is this what you're saying to me?

Yeah I disappeared for 36 hours. Sue me. I don't care. I could leave this slot to die anytime and I'm here because I feel mentally well enough to play now.

Can you let me play instead of telling me to go away?

I don't know. YeahVoxx/Zack were the primary pushers of GH, and I'm leaning towards Reg being town so that would make GH fairly town-pushed. Koalas/SR were both town so like... nearly for certain wolves pushed those to some degree? Fonti was kind of driving Koalas and.... I'm.... ugh this is rough but I kind of want to say she's town. SR was primarily pushed by like... Zack/me/tom? Ish?

So... I'm going with no, not really. My instinct is that wolves have mostly been letting us do this to ourselves while keeping the pot stirred. There just hasn't been a solid towncore / cohesion, and you can partly blame the 3 replace outs / game length relative to speed for that, but my guess is that wolves are certainly a big factor in that arena.
Okay. If I just lock you in as 100% town and you die tonight, how certain do you want me to treat that read?
Owner has never really felt like she's had focus/motivation, but my point is that /doesn't matter/ because if you can solve Scott you automatically solve her.

I don't get what /you're/ doing. Owner is in your top 3 scum, right? I'm on the same level, 113/Jari are higher, but at minimum you think of the 15 non-you people in the game Owner is at least the 4th likeliest to flip wolf, and you're deflecting my question by saying you're "not voting Owner or trying to convince people to lynch her". Like... okay?

There's nothing wrong with questioning her activity or content, but you're not questioning it, you're just saying there isn't much / any. That's not a question / inquiry, that's just shade. Whereas I'm saying 1) Scott was pretty damn newbtown, 2) given the gamestate and the fact that she's a replacement it seems perfectly plausible that she's not around much / not giving much content. I reject the premise that that fact means much considering her alignment. Yet you've meaningfully dropped that slot in your reads and given that as your reason. So, defend your case. Show me why I'm wrong.

To be fair, scumreading other people for things you did when you know you're town (or are putting on that facade) is ???

Do you find hypocrisy to be particularity indicative of alignment?

I'd say that it's not. If anything, in my experience it's a slight town-tell, in a vacuum, as wolves are more often aware that they are in fact in that glass house, whereas town aren't really thinking about their own position/actions in that self aware way and are thus way more susceptible to the Fundamental Attribution Error.
