    I have a question... Why does always the fics where Harry isn't the boy who live feature a total git as the boy who lived?? Why are they always spoiled and prejudiced?

    Anyways enough with the steam blowing on my account, your story might be good.. But it is an idea that has been used very many times.. How about placing Harry in another house making pleasing his father more important?? If you place him in ravenclaw or slytherin James might be disappointed, and Harry might feel like he has to prove himself to his father to a greater extent.
