Spidey's supposed to be in the movie.

If you look closely at the last shot of Hardy screaming, you can see blackness creeping up through the veins in his neck.

    Here for this.

Went to see Coco this afternoon, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Apart from roughly a quarter of the film, where I was full on sobbing.

That's why I can't see Pixar films in the threater anymore. I can't cry in front of strangers, I need some privacy to be sad.

Then as and when you see it, you might want to close the curtains and soundproof the premises, because oh boy.

None of my friends want to see 'kids movies' with me so I end up going by myself and silently weeping towards the back of the theatre. I'm definitely on some kind of list...

Both when Hector is singing to baby Coco and when Miguel sings to grandmama Coco I fucking lost it. It's so weird. For me, the 'happy ending' was never in doubt, but the sheer thought of Hector being forgotten juxtaposed with Coco secretly missing him her entire life...

Fuck. It hit me hard. Maybe it's a personal thing. I've always found dimentia both profoundly sad and terrifying...

Disappointed they didn't skip forward a few years, but that still looks fun as hell.

Would've loved to see the kids more grown-up, that's true.

Still, if this is a success, maybe we will.

I wonder how much the demographic influenced the path of the story for The Incredibles 2. 14 years after the first movie comes out, and the focus is on how to be a good father while the wife works and leaves him at home. Seems like a good target for those who enjoyed the first film.

Finally got to see Coco, after reading some comments about it. More or less knew what to expect so went in cautiously optimistic. Was not disappointed.

At first glance, there's little to no substance in the trailer and there was never so much a wait for this sequel compared to Incredibles 2. On the other hand, it's just the teaser trailer thus far so it's still safe to bet there'll be good storytelling. I mean, it's not Pixar, but still good.

Also, apparently the glitch can now leave her game?

Hm ... some research gave me this from TVTropes:

I have watched the movie several times (I have a five year old brother), so I think I have a pretty solid recollection of what happens. Personally, since she kept the glitch-porting at the very end while Ralph watches her across IRL, I don't understand how she isn't still a glitch, though I suppose the fixed code is a passable explanation even if she could still effectively control her hacking powers like a mofo.

Personally, the wedding bit never even fully registered to me as being anywhere because I figured that the backstory part of the general lady wouldn't be coded as a place in that hellhole. Meh.

It's not explicitly mentioned in the movie, though maybe they assumed the context of being elsewhere would be enough? I think it's fair to confuse that, especially since it was such a major plot point in the first movie to begin with.

I prefer the latter explanation since the "glitch" is probably coded as part of her powers, and instead, her missing code stuck in Candyland prevented her from leaving.

    Saw Death Wish, enjoyed it.

I could pinpoint the exact scenes and moments that would have enraged the critics. Made me giggle.

Finally saw the Christopher Robin trailer. Spotted Gatiss and McGregor and thought, “Count me in.” Two of my favourite actors/creatives in the industry. Should be an interesting story to tell in terms of the setting as well. Also, Hayley Atwell will play Christopher’s wife. Vastly underrated actress, imho.

Release will be in early August.

    I really, really hope this doesn’t bomb…
