Make snipey posts at literally anything he can misconstrue in order to draw attention away from himself.

Things Newcomb has not done:

Address any/most of the attention that he's attracted.

The fact that I've made multiple posts on Newcomb and he ignored the first major one and meme'd the other is mindblowing, honestly.

 

Thought it was pretty hard to miss from his perspective, which seemed backed up how he was reacting to me.

Yes.

The first part is that I find his playstyle change weird and don't know how to read into it. He feels way different tonally to last game and I can't tell if it's all just playing loose or if it's alignment stuff. Connected to this I think is the way that I can't really tell what his process is here at all. I don't see him forming and developing reads in a way that makes sense. He's kind of running around like a chicken without a head, I think?

And then there's his Jari read which I don't understand at all, the strength of his read there and how he got it and how he's defended it make very little sense to me. There's also one post in his ISO that I think aligns pretty closely with his scum meta and feels disjointed with the rest of his play so far. Disjointed is a good word, I think.

I really liked Jari's read on dC, btw. I don't think it did much to change my read on dC, but I liked it.

You did do the bounceback on an early scumread (Quas) upon them posting some quality that you’ve done a couple times here as well. I think scum!you would feel feel slightly selfconscious mimicking that so closely, so point in your favor.

The concise way to describe your Portal 2 play contrasted with your play here though is ‘open’ there vs a lot narrower here. Could be you’re struggling more with your reads this game, could be you being less receptive/interested in opinions/feedback because you already know who’s what.

I've been staring at this post for a couple minutes and I've almost convinced myself that "no information is obtained anyway" is somewhat of a mindset slip, insofar as the internal logic of the way he's phrasing this, particularly the "anyway", makes it seem like there would be information if he was visible and not posting, which is pretty exclusively a wolf thing.

Could potentially file it under "drastically overthinking it," but it did stick out on a dC re-read.
