look I was tired and couldn't think of anything else clever to do before I tried to sleep (which failed abysmally hence my posting now) cut me some slack :V

well meh he has like no votes (or did when I started typing this) and the cat's out of the bag anyway

    Lump: Jarizok
    Unvote

I guess the list of people (Cobalt/Jari/tom) who apparently didn't notice and hated the vote itself is maybe useful information???

but it's not like I have any other options, like

shadow/Waco/Jari wagons is practically my nightmare scenario for this D1. It's all compromise targets and >____>

tbh I want to just lump all of them but I guess it's a decent priest check pool at least?

The irony here is that I want to say the same thing about Waco. Mostly b/c Princess, admittedly, but that's also my only frame of reference so meh.

(Do you think this is also true for shadow?)

((ok I'm going to try and get some more sleep now. Fingers crossed I don't sleep through dayend >_>))

Waco has been low effort and kind of weird, and if he's scum, Shadow is definitely town. That's it, tbh.

There are a couple unalignments with Jari besides Stanari, probably, but I don't really want to put in the effort to look for them right now.

I think yes but I didn't think about it long enough to be sure.

Why shadow lump over waco lump?

I think if we lump one then the other one should not be lynched today.
Just curious why you prefer one over the other.

But I don’t want to do that if we can just lynch Waco.

We’ll get info wrt Waco’s flip at some point, and that can clear Shadow.

I don’t see the need to lump my top town read. I would MUCH rather assuage my Newcomb read with lump.
    --- Post automerged ---
There’s no sense in lumping the other half of a clearly unaligned pair if we’re going to lynch one.

I think Shadow is scummier. Also, I think Waco has a better chance of defending himself if they're both town, where Shadow has a lack of history with a lot of the playerbase working against him.
    --- Post automerged ---
    Dude, no.
    --- Post automerged ---
I think there's a good chance Newcomb is town here. If we lump him, he'll probably just die Tonight or Tomorrow Night, and that would suck for solving.

Yeah. My thought was somewhat similar.
Don't think shadow (and cobalt) would be able to convince the majority of people if we get a green on waco tomorrow.

I personally think that checking the townier one is better, because I prefer just having a greencheck n1.
With a greencheck you can just say "priest only claim if red. no claim = greencheck and we move on".

You don't really want a redcheck claim on d2 unless needed.
The more muddy the target is (higher likelyhood of them being scum) the harder it is to give the right commands to the priest.

Kind of split because of that.
    --- Post automerged ---
Newcomb has a 85-87% chance of being town.
    Maybe even 90%.

I don't need him any higher right now tbh.
    --- Post automerged ---
    Meh ..

Unsure. Might want the waco lump more than the shadow one.

    But for now.

    Lump Shadow

Uh, I really disagree with that? Like, the best you can expect from a priest in a 3 scum setup is getting a scum. And definitely having a scum outed at the beginning of Day 2 gives us a lot of time to go back through D1 and lock down a poe from unalignments, helped by most of being alive to assist with the analysis.

    True ..

but if the priest doesn't have to claim then you are likely to get a n2 check as well.

And you normally don't let them claim a greencheck d1 and then they fullclaim d3 if alive.
And the aco can almost always tell you if the priest is alive d3, because worlds where aco dies n1 and priest n2 are very very rare.

I can see why you might think clearing some people d2 is good. I prefer green into redcheck and do the solving part on d3.
That is if I get to choose.
    --- Post automerged ---
You should never let the priest claim a greencheck and say nothing with a redcheck, because the redcheck is so much more valuable for gamesolving. Which means losing the priest for it is not as bad as losing the priest because of a greencheck claim.
    --- Post automerged ---
Plus outting the priest plus losing the lumpp to a scum is just .. not as good?

Even if it would mean I could gloat a bit.

Having the green on lump and then the high value poe check n2 is so much better to me.

I agree that the check should not be some obvious town player.
It should be always a player that is somewhat likely to flip town, but will die down the line unless checked.

Both work, but I think scum can abuse the lump a redcheck play so fucking easy.

Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about.

On dlp, we tend to snowball after we get one confirmed scum. I prefer that to be earlier. Also, lump on town is pretty useless? Like, oh no the confirmed town scum were going to need to shoot anyway also has an ability to swing things a bit in lylo, whatever will my my scumteam do. "Losing lump" ins't a thing to be worried about, because lump on town is basically worthless and lump on scum with a check is worse than useless for them. Also, counting on the priest to live multiple nights is inherently risky.

I am not 100% on board with your thoughts, but I am not against it.

Will add something before I go to bed unless I forget. Just a small thing for the future.

Here way later than I thought. Got home really late last night and felt too tired to read. Anyone online wanna give me a quick highlight reel?

Also never played with a "Lump" before. From reading some comments, it seemed like Lump was a free check, but then reading the setup tells me Lump is a cuddly panda that votes with you (forever?). Does that mean that the general rule is to elect someone and then check them? If that's the case, y'all should give the panda to me 'cause I'm the least familiar to all of you

Still technically at work, but there ain't much to do on my end today so I should be able to put a few hours in and get caught up
