    A) What? Oh, sorry, I have been having issues making things sufficiently obvious jokes. The point of that was like "ha, ha, the stupid joke turned out to be true!"

    B) POSSIBLY true now, probably false later in the game, definitely offset by dead scum being better than dead town.

What makes you so sure Jarizok was town?

Nothing, but he's higher probability than Shadow (0%) which means him being dead is higher probability dead town than Shadow.

also for real you have no idea how much better I feel about my D1 now

like sure most of it was stupid as hell but apparently I actually noticed the correct thing (shadow not wanting lump) when I stopped faceplanting everywhere so that's gotta count for something right?

(I mean I'm guessing nobody listened to me b/c I was still ultra stoopid, but :V)

related: top of head, who else was trying to lump shadow around dayend?
    --- Post automerged ---
(and who else was trying to lynch him instead?)

Think this is a good look for Vaimes, and a somewhat good look for tom.

Could potentially see tom telling people to run with his Lump thing in wolfchat, though.

Also no one say a fucking word about the Amrock tell.

I think the Jan kill kind of points to Jari being mafia, but that might just be projecting how much I thought Jan was town.

Like, you can usually somewhat tell the alignment of the D1 lynch in TinyHunt. If it's on town, witches usually have a bit more finesse with the NK since they have to dodge the Angel save as well.

I'd have to go back and check Jarizok's reads but unless I'm just not remembering correctly, he had Jan fairly high, so in a town!Jarizok world you'd think witches might have hesitated on pulling the trigger there.

Kind of a flimsy read since like, priest hunt, etc, but.

The whole purpose of the lump was so I didn’t have to do this song and dance today, I expect apologies when this is cleared up.

Reading shadow's 661 in context (click through for the quotes, hate how the site erases them when you quote), it's a decent look for Cobalt. The way he's talking to Cobalt is all sorts of pocket-y.

The swipe at Waco combined with

Is the basis of the hard unaligment there, combined with how nuanced/prickely their overall interactions were.

Would say Waco's pretty close to just lock clear here.

Hmmm, okay yeah I hadn't considered that.

Quick look at the playerlist and there wasn't really another obvious target, which could go either way (didn't want a subpar kill vs. didn't want to bounce), so I think that makes it come down to yomi? If Jari had someone else as a higher read they might have assumed the protect would go there, too.

Or Jari could just be scum and lol.

(Or Jari/Stanari both scum and the game's about to end and max lol :v)

Still it's a higher chance Jari is town than Shadow

Yeah, I'll buy this. There's a reason I said Waco was the towniest of the three yesterday, and it's that his play strongly resembles D1 Princess (that part of my "DON'T LYNCH THE EASY ONES" paranoia was at least actually justified, so I guess it makes sense for it to be the one that was correct

    ...there's a lesson in there >_>)

Unrelated: I'm guessing you were super laid back this game because of your Priest roll, Newcomb? (I'm not sure if this makes me feel bad about wagoning you or not, because on the one hand whoops but on the other hand failing to lynch the Priest is good cover for them? idk)
    --- Post automerged ---
Why weren't you campaigning for lump yesterday then =(

Because I’m selfish and I don’t get mislynched anyway.

I don't think I've been playing laid back? That wallpost I made was right up there with some of my most intense, effort-y walls ever.

I don't let my role influence my play, I just do my thing.

Though I will say that I wasn't exactly.... displeased with getting a fair amount of shade thrown at me. I usually die pretty early and biting it N1 as the Priest is a pretty big blow to town.

    >selfish
    >not wanting the panda all to yourself

    nani :V

I guess I just found the "only two targets and both bottom tier" thing kinda "relaxed", although I suppose if one was actually scum it's more like actually finding scum and just stopping on them huh :v

My play as a whole D1 is pretty relaxed regardless of role/alignment.

Like I said earlier, you're never going to win or lose the game on D1. No one has perfect reads, 75% of the game is town, you're going to mislynch sometimes. That doesn't mean you don't try to lynch a wolf, it's just not a big deal if you don't.

I had some townreads I felt good about, and I had two people I wanted to lynch, at least one of which was in fact mafia, so like.

I'm not feeling any sense of regret here, no.

Yeah, alright. I didn't really account for nuance in meta-assessing you and instead just went for "Newcomb is strong and loud!" so whoops :v

...why do I always feel so stupid around you.

    (His town core was Cobalt/Vaimes/tom/Jan/Stanari.)

Selfish in that I want to cop check my reads. I already know I’m town and me getting copped isn’t going to help me.

You didn't reevaluate this after it became apparent you actually COULD be mislynched, though? Like, with the whole "being a major wagon contender most of the day" thing?

Btw was your stuff re: my emotional play real? Because I actually am sorry about that if it was. I'm aware of it and am trying not to be so emotional in games but I'm an emotional person and it's hard to keep it from bleeding into my play. There's also a lot of context stuff with me/fonti/Jan that made it worse this game than it usually is but I feel like I'm past that now.

I don't have anything against emotion in mafia, I just don't like it when it makes the game unfun for people or a drag to read. I thought the you/Jan stuff had the potential to go there, so I didn't want to make a bunch of reads on it on the off-chance that something I said would re-ignite whatever it was.

So it was real in the sense of I believed that it made you and Jan never w/w, I just didn't super want to make a whole production out of it.
