Not that I don't think you're capable of it, just that I have not personally experienced you playing that way and I don't think it's the case this game.

 

I've been sitting on this sequence of posts for a bit because uh it felt really non sequitor even as you explained it, but as I trolled back through the quotes, I'm reminded of that last game as MS where you hydrad with Prism and when Nacho didn't have you as town right away you told him that you didn't believe he didn't have you as town yet.

(For perspective a couple years ago when I was in the midst of my million scum game march, I played my fucking heart out a few games and in one Nacho declared that I was so town that he would drown his first born child in the ocean that's how convinced he was I was town, but I was scum. I still believe that Nacho should absolutely know when I'm town because even in those games there were obvious indicators I thought he would notice that I wasn't town.)

Even through all that, I think he should absolutely KNOW when I'm town because he literally knows me better than anyone on the planet, but he doesn't always, he gets paranoid and I get frustrated, and in that vein I'm seeing a little bit of myself in you here in your expectations.

So this is just a bunch of words to say I think I understand where you're coming from.

It devolves reading Fonti into a base cross-examination that culminates on her scumtell being exclamation points.

And I don't think her humor is AI.

So I don't really see a. where he draws the actual conclusion that she's more like RWBY than Mime, and b. the way he says "I suppose that means I should townread her" is really begrudging, and seems like he could be placating town Font to get her off of him?

All of the thread so far happened within the first 3 hours of the phase so it's possible scum!dC just wanted Font to back off after the long drawn out argument they had.

It may just be that I had the complete opposite read of dC in that scenario? But I think the way Newcomb came in and was just like "v/v" with a lot more words is a bit too subtle for my liking.

I mean, okay, it's not that SUBTLE, he's explicitly stating his reads, but it feels a lot like Newcomb is trying to convince other people rather than Newcomb actually just giving his read.

I think this is an overly semantical dig into Gemma's post, and it feels like Newcomb is trying to paint her as scum while simultaneously pointing out how townie one particular thought process was so that he can go either way with this read.

There's a lot in this post I disagree with. But mostly I don't like here the way Newcomb talks about his own meta. I think at one point he gave up on trying not to talk too much about meta, but he came into this game saying he would be trying not to use it and then at this point completely dictates his playstyle and thought process so that it seems like he's educating everyone on why he is town here. And I don't like that at all.

Gemma/Zen being unaligned is interesting but I think the more likely wolf would be Zenzao, and since I think Newcomb is wolfing I think it's also possible Newcomb is wolfing with Zen because of the way he sort of hedges his Zen reads here.

Entertain me for a minute. Am I crazy or does Newcomb/dC/Zen make a lot of sense?

 

I've actually liked miner's posts for probably reasons I can't explain. Though I suppose if Newcomb is scum there's nothing making them not w/w.

I don't have any good damn reason to like Vaimes, just kinda do a little bit but wouldn't be surprised if he was scum.

I've wanted to play with Jan!town since marketplace and we've always been unaligned, so I'm probably pretty hesitant there. I don't necessarily thin the emotional response to you is *that* alignment indicative. Legit emotional responses between people who just don't get along are really hard for me to read because they're natural no matter what, which is in part why I'd like no even slight provocations on your part, intentional or unintentional, because town jan gets frustrated and tilted or scum jan gets frustrated and it feels like real emotion.

with newcomb I feel like I felt with plotinus in your game at westeros, I really want him to make me feel like I'm wrong but I don't have a great feeling about him at all.

I feel like this game might end up being about who's in the poe after town reads actually.

Real talk my vote is probably going to end up on newcomb and I hate myself for it.

I'm not sure what tomorrow is going to look like for me. It's pretty fucking late at this point, and I still have grading to do, though I suppose I can wait until I get back home. I'm just not sure when I'm gonna have to meet nacho at the train station, so I don't know if I'll actually be here for deadline.
