I dunno, it might be my absolute distrust of Ubisoft, but there's just something sketchy to me about the level of audience enthusiasm during cringey shit like the guy from Trials. The amount of people cheering for For Honor? Really? That game was a fucking disaster, the sheer drop in player count within two months of launch was staggering.

As much as it pains me to admit, they've actually had a pretty good showing.

Current Ubisoft honestly makes really good games (multiplayer ones at least) but like 6 - 12 months after they've been released. Siege was bad at release and is now a pretty solid game, Division was pretty bad at release and is now a pretty decent game and For Honor seems the same. It seems to me that Ubisoft is at least showing that they are committed to genuinely improving the games after release.

Ubisoft makes two games these days.

Siege and Ubisoft Open World Sandbox of Repeated Objectives and One Thousand Fucktylion Collectibles.

Or as I like to call it, "That One Ubisoft Game: X Edition".

You can really tell that the publisher gets all its dev teams together and makes them work together on any given project, as there is zero originality, flavor, or distinctiveness to any game in their lineup over the last 5 years. It all got sandblasted off in their quest for bland mediocrity.

I'm primarily looking forward to Sony's presentation. God of War really sold me on the direction of the PS4 and the type of games Sony is willing to put out. Even though I'm not a huge spiderman fan I'm planning on getting the new one just to support solid single player games.

I dunno if BGAE2 will ever eventuate into an actual game, but I really dig the style and world. It could be a garbage clusterfuck, but I just want more games creating worlds like that.

I feel like Square Enix had a bad conference because they are showing their really good stuff at other conferences. Just Cause 4 and Tomb Raider are everywhere. I personally think FF7 will be at Sony's E3 just to blow minds again.

I wouldn't be surprised if 7 is a no show. I'm...super surprised by Avengers being a no show though...

About 15 years of unchecked greed and ever-more-egregious anti-consumer bullshit married to blatant lies and false advertising that is somehow allowed because it's just a "vertical slice" or some other such bollocks, mostly.

I'm honestly just glad that regulators started getting involved with lootboxes and the industry realized it had to take a step back for once. It remains to be seen if the impact of that is the by-now-standard response of "okay, now all the previously unacceptable shit is normalized, so we'll stay there until we find the next new way to skin the customer twice" or if they'll actually start walking back the more egregious of their practices that wouldn't be accepted in any other industry, but my hopes are not particularly high.

Really? I get that the first hall represented TLOU2 but that seems a bit absurd.

They said 4 games right as the big showcases? What if they got 3 more stages set up that are actually in the games.

    Looks like you're right.

That said, I don't think their gambit worked out. This is just kinda boring.

I'm having a blast watching how many people Spider Man kills. He's thrown like 4 dudes from the top of a skyscraper.
