I'd like to personally and preemptively ask everyone to be civil towards each other because the last couple of games I've played around here have been toxic (I'm partially to blame, but that's neither here nor there) and I'd really rather avoid that.

Baiscally forcing people to play to make numbers fit is the opposite of what I want from a game.

I'd rather play with less people and half all of them commited and in the right mood than having a certain number and higher risk of trouble.

Actively thinking about switching to replacement right now.

 

I will adjust the setup based on how many people actively want to play and be here. I’m not expecting anyone to play if they don’t want to just to make my numbers fit. Don’t sweat it. I just built it around what I projected to be workable with easy numbers based on what it looked like we might have.

People can confirm yes or no, its really not a big deal. I want everyone to be happy to be here and want to play and be active and respectful.

Seriously, this setup is flexible and if we suddenly dropped four people in less than a day I can still make it work. I was just trying to get my thoughts in order, sorry if it felt like I was pressuring anyone.

Okay so there was some confusion, but my position is:
- I don't want to sign up or replace in
- I don't want to be spoiled on roles
- I will replace in if the alternative is a dead slot

In practice this means I am a "replacement of last resort", however what Gemma said is accurate regarding what I want to do in theory.

It is not a bad thing that you try to get things going and are energetic/forceful about it.

I am just trying to make sure that the people that sign up do it because they want to play not because they feel slightly pressured into doing it and Gemma is doing the same, i think.

Some sort of being the voice for the voiceless kind of thing.

 

Like to clarify I want to observe the game unspoiled for unrelated reasons (i.e. reading it without the pressure of playing it will be interesting I think) and given I'll be doing this if we somehow run through all the replacements and it's either I sub in or a slot goes idle I'll do the former.

I am expecting I will just be doing the unspoiled obs thing all game.

Okay change of plans, Cobalt has informed me that obs will not be spoiled so I'm going to be a horrible selfish person and make myself invalid for replacing by joining them :v

 

We had unspoiled obs before, but most of the time it is a channel/qt with several people that might get slightly spoiled as the game continues.
In part because they talk about it or dead people join in and make it a graveyard chat.

And as soon as several people talk about the game then they can't be possible subs anymore (even if they are unspoiled).

Who do we have as replacements? Because I know Tammy doesn't honestly want to play right now and if Newcomb is playing then it's just Jari and he said he really isn't going be to available to play. 1-2 solid subs would be good to have, just in case.

(Also I don't want to micromanage or anything but I hope you read the part where Eido said he didn't want any unique or special roles.)

I'm going to have to be V/LA 7/10-7/12 in order to play (likely will be able to have some activity on 7/10 but may be pretty barebones/non-existent for 7/11-7/12). If that's ok then I'm /in, if it isn't then I can be swapped to /replace for after that period if it's needed at that point

 

Obviously just tunneling me yet again despite saying that he had gotten over his secret crush on me? Sounds like mafia to me.
