I've had that thought, but sometimes games just are that easy when town is strong.

    Think about WH14.

Villagers swarm the thread, get a huge block of accurate town reads, narrow them down so they really can't see any path to victory, lose morale, and just make it even easier to catch them.

I mean, yeah, like I said, the narrative does fit pretty well.

Just thinking about threadflow over the last ~24 hours or so, it doesn't feel defeatist so much as.... precarious? This isn't something I can really back up with concrete quotes/analysis, mostly a gut thing, but it's felt to me like wolves are kind of like... waiting to see which way certain players jumped, like there's 1-2 kind of hanging around the middle of the pack and 2-3 in the "defeated wolves narrative" group and they're kind of waiting to see how they'd need to play it as that latter list solidified.

It tends to happen when Town-Eido shows up.

It's possible. I think waiting would have been a pretty likely wolf move for the last day or so, since a lot of town were doing that as well and the lynch was pretty up in the air after the fen sub.

Yeah, that was kind of a key moment.

Really antsy to get Fen's alignment for sure, and then if he's indeed a wolf, read a little before/after Cobalt's announcement and try to get a feel for who's... hesitating, for lack of a better word.

That's a decent argument for lynching him Today.

It's possible? Prec(isawolf)arious is a good word for it, like if the team is.. hm.

I think it'd have to have someone like Fonti on it for the team to not be 'defeated' but just waiting to see which direction you/me/reg take it and how they can try and change the game path from there? Idk. I don't want to think about it until we know we're not in the world we think we're in tbh.

Meh, it's such a stupid thing to do if he's a village PR, though.

The EV swing we'd get off a provable PR claim from that slot is so huge that it's just dumb to ignore the chance at it when even if he's a wolf, he's like, a) never endgaming and b) has 3 partners.

    Fair enough.

Yeah, not lynching the slot, as much as I think it's a wolf.

I really don't envy whoever replaces in, though, can you imagine? That'd be up there for like, when you replaced into the mtgs game in terms of doomed slots. Except worse.

Was that to fonti or to me, because when I did it it wasn't terrible. Replacing into a doomed slot isn't that bad when your team has a good shot to win and all you need to do is like, push one specific thing.

I feel weird about having done literally nothing this game except clear myself.

    I mean yeah sure.

But I don't...think that's the case for this slot, heh.

If they just have one night kill per night, look at all the strong obviously town players they have to chew through, while managing to not bounce any kills to possible protectives. Even if they chew through me/you/reg first 3 nights, that means d4 starts and there's still some really strong players alive.

Oh, I wasn't talking about this game, I'd started reminiscing about Mistborn. Like yeah obviously this is a totally different situation.

Depends on whether or not she posts something villagery!

I struggle to see the vote on me coming from her as town, is the main thing. Town Beru is never pushing me on D1, she knows it won't happen for one thing, after like 8-9 years of playing with me, and she won't /want/ to lynch me d1 either because she's positive I bus as a wolf if I am a wolf.
