Yeah, Empoofs reads/thoughts on a great deal of players just feel like words put down rather than actual thoughts, there's no real depth to them at all and not in a "Not fully up to date with information" type way, feels like he's trying to poke/open up certain areas as pushes rather than having genuine concerns with peoples posting.

 

I sort of want to townread Citrus being bored (not best word tbh, maybe antsy?) but a) that could so easily be scum boredom and b) I've exceeded my dumb townreads quota by a lot already.

 

This again reads very very fake and just 'to seem town' rather than an actual thought.

Yeahh, okay, finished going over his ISO and the Citrus read is a big example of my qualms with his posting; there's little depth to his read there, it's based solely around Citrus agreeing with my Newcomb town read without any other comments on Citrus's play thus far. His read on a lot of people are like that, it's pick 1 thing that's happened, base the read on that. There's no real progression evaluation.

 

I was going to wait for Empoof to come back, but eh.

Reg, I think Empoof and Beruru are both scum mildly distancing from each other. Your thoughts?

 

Massively agree, Berurus frozentasaih.gif type vote on Tsaiah & Empoofs stance on Bears both fit that.

 

Okay, I'm doing really badly at even tracking anaphora right now to figure out who's even talking to who.

Pretty much I can see that @Empoof 's catch-up exists, but I also read that post he made about his play style, which suggests to me that not much of what's happened so far is him doing "his thing" and gathering reactions as EOD approaches. So while I'll regroup and be able (I typed this as "people"? what?) to probe your brain tomorrow, all I have right now are just feelings about that catch-up which are warm-ish and not really based on the substance or reads generated. It seems like he's trying to resolve something that seems useful to him by talking about Newcomb and Regfan to Citrus (this is the part I had a hard time following in the sequence of the posts).

Also, you sure the tell's outdated? I thought you had a day you distinctly dropped off in the night owl game after a strong start, which is my memory of you challenging that tell.

Eh, I think beru getting lynched day one was in the territory of 'almost never'. I'd like you to expand on this thought (both halves) if you would.

 

The lighthearted thing is something I've been burnt by Tsaiah for faking in the early game and felt some similarities re; the lack of actual stated reads/content in her posting here in comparison to her scum game, Fonti's wall brought up some things that I'd missed/not fully noticed when looking at the slot and it moved the slot up a bit for me at the time; is/was very much a case of 'more information helps influences my reads".

My read on a bear is...I'm really straining to hear them sing. There does feel like there's some real insight there, kinda, but I'm not sure it's truly alignment indicative insight, and then some things I just...can barely see at all (that's not AI with the amount we have/n't talked, I think).

Wagons are pretty stagnant, but I don't really dislike either of them.

I like that Empoof was here and posting, I just don't really feel much depth or nuance to any of his thoughts. Kind of superficial 'posting to post' type things, which like. Catch up stuff? Eh.

I'd like to see him get fully caught up and dump actual thoughts on things instead of trying to realtime with incomplete info, because it just doesn't feel like he has an actual grasp on players, and I can't really tell if that's because he's not read everything to develop that grasp, or if he's just scum and sucks at faking organic thoughts.

Feels like a waiting game.

Waiting for Beru, Empoof, DLGN to all fully catch up.

My reads feel pretty stagnant, because I'm town reading 2/3 of the game pretty strongly, and almost every post feeds back into that.

I even want to town read Nego and Smiles for stuff, and that's leaving me with an impossibly small number of possible scum.

That's not hugely dissimilar to where I'm at, most of the active posters (Vaimes/Stanari/Newbcomb/Yourself) I'm very confident are town.

I'm kind of looking at Bears/Empoof/X/X type worlds with X being filled by NH/Kai/Citrus/M7/Jarizok as most likely the case.
