I wouldn't expect Classic until this time next year at the earliest, really. I also expect the timeline for the main game to be:

Antoras comes out end of this month, then we'll have the last raid of Legion, one of those 1-boss raids where we fight C'thun inside the big fucking hole Sargeras pokes into Azeroth at the end of Antoras, early next year, somewhere in the February-March range I expect. Then Battle for Azeroth will come out around May or June.

Yeah, necroing this thar thread here. Since there seems to be a fair amount of interest in BfA here on DLP....
I was wondering if there's already a DLP guild or something like that.
While I keep in mind the clash of clans-clan crashed and burned ... >_>
I wouldn't mind joining or creating a DLP guild if just for your alts.
Most of my mains are in Dalaran-US Server and they're not associated with any guild since my log hours are ridiculous. Add to that I'm actually playing from India, it gets complicated real fast

But I do have a few alts on AeriePeak that I'm leveling. Especially alts from allied races. So what I'm saying is, would anyone be interested in a DLP guild. Even if its just for creating and testing your alts. Or maybe for a Bank toon?

Honestly, probably the thing to do is just wait til 8.0 comes out then use the new Communities thing to make a DLP one. I'll def sign up if someone puts such a thing together.

In case you're unaware, the Communities thing is a new feature with BFA that lets you make character-based, cross-realm social groups to chat and stuff while still being in separate guilds (the closest comparison I know of is Link Shells in FF14).

But I wanted a guild too, lol. So that once in a blue moon when or if we decide to do a random raid or dungeon /pvp or some such shit we can do it as a guild.

 

Still no cross NA/EU functionality though, sadly.

Yeah. Flying makes things soooo much more fun.
Its still a chore without flying on Argus, especially in areas like Antoran Wastes.
Now thats generally where the gold quests are...and since I'm kinda cheap and like to play for free... XD

 

Wouldn't boosting +15 keys be better gold/hr than doing WQs?

Clarification, the only WQs I do these days are on alts for essences/legendaries. Since Broken Shore my main is basically raidlogging, which is probably a reason I've kept at it. Nighthold burnout was real.

 

I dunno about the +15 keys...
I don't have a guild. and my log times as weird as hell, so I can't play with a consistent group either.
That leaves PUG. Lol. I get declined for 10+ as a rule since I'm still at 950 ilvl as dps.

My own keys generally tend to get burned out at around 9 ish as well.
I shit you not, I recently had MoS 10 key with raging, explosive and tyrannical. As soon we start after entering the stone, my PUG team's 950 Tank goes "Imma pull every idjit from here to the boss" and pulls about 20 enemies right off the bat. Along with the Boss. Total Wipe.
So, yeah. That doesn't work for me.

I get around 5k-7k gold doing WQ/Order hall/EQ/ every day for around an hour and a half of playing, per character. You have to note that Rare-boss WQs on Argus give you around 500-600 gold each. And there's at least 3 of those everyday.

And empyrium is going for 7-12 G on the AH per unit. I generally have something like 200-300 of that every weekend.

 

Don't think I don't see what you're doing Blizz, making BfA Jaina hot af and making Sylvie actually look like an uncanny valley corpse...

Huh, just read Before the Storm, the prequel novel to the quests that'll lead to the expansion. It's not a terribly exciting read, but three major taleaways:

Calia Menethil being killed by a fearful Sylvanas as a 'Usurper' because Forsaken wanted to 'defect' to their rightful queen, only for her to be rezzed as a 'Light' undead basically confirms we're getting Alliance Undead. I'll genuinely be shocked if that's not the case.

The entire book basically focuses on Anduin's little heart bleeding for those who lost loved ones to the Scourge and reuniting the ones who are amenable.

Second, they've well and truly destroyed Sylvie. I can't root for her anymore (or play as Horde. Fuck you all). I'm pining for the Vol'jin days, or eagerly awaiting Baine/Saurfang to take the reigns.

Her instant willingness to destroy a council that sprung up to run Undercity in her absence and murder the Forsaken who wanted to see their loved ones (yes, some defected, but not all. And they were fucking tradesmen) had me thinking of ol' Kimmy in NK and Stalin a lot...

#teamJainaftw (she makes a brief appearance too, but it was pretty uninspiring).

Third, the goblin/gnome romance was fucking adorable.

 

Yeah, but 10% bonus exp/rewards is kinda hard to ignore. The problem is in the activating/deactivating part. You have to go to Stormwind/Orgrimmar to do that. I'm not going to Stormwind ten times every hour just to toggle war mode.

Also, this isn't a problem on Low/medium servers. My main DH is on Dalaran and its full, a few of my farming alts are on Aerie peak. I've face little bullshit there on Low/Medium . Horde, alliance or Murloc they're all playing along like its just legion. Its the old hardcoer groups on old servers that are salivating at open world pvp lol. You know, the one's who used to use their 110 mains to troll other people's alts in Outland or Draenor in the flag capturing zones? Yeah. Them.

I suspect we'll see Bolvar after a long time.

The point about the Horde is more interesting for me. Even if the Horde goes Full_Evil_(tm), I would still play an alt on it. Its like playing Arthas on War3. I would be perfectly fine with even such an extreme scenario (This is how I imagine many people felt with Garrosh).
In the present condition, it actually makes me want to main a horde alt. See, for me the Horde has always been gray. They invaded Azeroth to begin with. They slaughtered Dranei to make that portal (Whichever Horde you consider). What the elves did to zul'jin and the trolls is gonna be there. They've never been clean, so to speak. Its only with the slave-turned-leader Thrall or with Tauren, that one could even say that "I'm on the morally justified side".
And with Sylvie, that gray character of the Horde is out fully on display.
Basically, I'm playing as the Anti-Hero when I play a Hordie.
Also, from a war strategic perspective, this is beautiful. All the Alliance on one continent. All the Horde on the other. while this wont happen completely, its still pretty interesting to imagine.

Also, Dranei Nazis are coming. Prepare your butts. If you're getting NK and stalin flashbacks with just Sylvie, Oh my friend...

It could have been argued once that Sylvanas was grey, but they went full retard and you can't argue that any more. Not like you could with Illidan, for instance. She wants to start a war so she can murder the Alliance, rez them as Forsaken and repopulate her people - there's nothing morally grey about that. She's basically become Arthas.

I've heard people speculating/hoping if there'd be a third 'undead' faction headed by Bolvar. The three sisters comic kind of sparked that with Alleria's void whispers freaking out when she saw Sylvie - the notion being they're afraid because the Void want to consume all life, and you can't consume what's already dead etc.

Also a point not many people are picking up on is the line of succession for the Alliance. It's touched on often in the book, and it's not glossed over that a lot of Anduin's advisors are hawks. I wouldn't be surprised if Anduin dies, leading to some plotlines that have non-Horde aggression.

Or the book could just be ignored, who knows.

All I'm doing now is sitting back with my arms crossed waiting on what's gonna happen with the burning of Teldrassil. If Sylvanas actually just straight up burns it down... there's no redeeming her. I'll find the justifications amusing enough though.
