I can understand him pulling a Fordring and living his days as a hermit or something in Draenor but wearing full Alliance finery and going to town for them is a bit laughable

I think that's the first time when Blizzard did two cinematics for one Wow expansion.

I read somewhere that Saurfang ends up being captured and thrown into the Stockades, so the Alliance clothing might just be a bit of cruel and unusual punishment.

 

Blizzard scrambling not to lose Horde players, though anyone still playing Horde after all this time is clearly addicted and can stomach anything.

The alliance clothing is fan made to mock the Horde.

The Horde version of the BFA opening event is to sneak into Stormwind, fight to the Stockades and free both him and a couple Zandalari VIPs. Saurfang proceeds to tell you to fuck off and marches over to the nearest set of Stormwind guards and demands to speak to Anduin, and they take him off to do that. Then the PC and Zandalari VIPs set fire to the city and flee to the docks to grab a boat out to Zandalar before Jaina can murderfuck them all.

That's actually why I think that image I posted a few days ago, of Saurfang in an Alliance tabard and colors, might actually be legit. From everything I've seen, I could see him defect to the Alliance, making a deal with Anduin that they'll work together to get rid of Sylvanas and once that's done Saurfang will step up as Warchief and the war will end.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but another Alliance backed coup against the sitting warchief doesn't inspire confidence in Blizzard's claims that there would be grey moral areas in this conflict. Really seems like Garrosh 2.0 in too many ways.

Loved the "Old Soldier" cinematic though. Saurfang has been one of my favorite characters since his interactions with Garrosh in Wrath, and the cinematic did him wonderful and well deserved justice.

 

Yes. This whole expansion really is just Garrosh 2.0. The whole moral greyness thing they brought up was purely marketing bullshit to build hype, that much is pretty obvious by now.

 

Bet it isn't. Bet, if anyone, the faction aligned character that'll become a Big Bad is Alleria.

 

Nah. Alleria is gonna be a mid-tier boss of the next expansion, likely occupying a similar spot as Azshara, after tricking the players into helping her summon the Void Lords at the end of BFA.

 

While I like Alleria lorewise , I’m still very iffy about embracing people who’re clearly infected with void. They’re not just using void as a shadowpriest, hell even a warlock, they’re clearly corrupted by it. Void elves was a mistake in general.
