I'm trying to remember a fic that I believe had Harry teaming up with Dumbledore and Riddle (who I think was the Minster of Magic) against Grindlewald who had surrounded England in a black fog.

Any help is appreciated

 

So years ago I read this story that started of as a self insert but that fact wasn't important in any way as the story continued.
It was about a girl that lost her parents and for some reason Snape adopted her. The story focused on life for the Slytherins with her having a lot of influence in her house and it got really intense during Deathly Hallows.
Harry and friends were no main characters.
I think later she married and had children and in the end there was a scene when she died and all her loved ones welcomed her. Her first name might have started with S?
I am not sure if I still like it but I first have to find the story to find out.

I totally forgot about it until the Changeling by Annerb reminded me of it.
It would be great if anyone had an idea where I might find that story.
Unfortunately there is chance it was written in German as I don't recall if I had started reading in English at that time. So I don't have much hope.

 

Looking for an old unspeakable Harry shitfic where Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Ginny and Neville are all unspeakbles, end up in some room under Stone Henge that peggy sues them to their Hogwarts years.

 

Looking for a fix were Harry was in charge of taking Hermione out of a Voldemort controlled Britain. I can't remember much else about it but I remember they were both the only characters on the first couple of chapters

Looking for a comedy where Harry and Draco are brothers-in-law, both of them having married the Greengrass sisters. Harry is an Auror, iirc, and Malfoy still has whiny delusions of grandeur. I can't remember if it's any good or how old it is. I seem to recall a funny dinner scene where they can barely tolerate each other but are forced to be polite.

Looking for a fic that was posted here in DLP, but I just can't find the damn thing. Harry went back in time right when Voldemort was attacking his family. He managed to hit Voldemort with a Cruciatus - the author even put emphasis on Voldemort's sheer willpower in that he was able to move while under it. I think Lily survived; not sure about little Harry or James.

 

Was it a full fic, or just a plot bunny?

 

Pretty sure it was a fic, though the awkward Harry and Draco interactions might have just been a small part of a story about something else. Your plot bunny is on a whole other level, though. That's a crackfic crossover you need to write posthaste.

A WBWL that I believe had Harry/Lily. Heavily featured the soulstones from Diablo, iirc Harry was possessed/influenced by one of the prime evils. Should have been around in like 2008 or 2009 but no clue when it originated.

 

I vaguely remember a story from about a decade ago, featuring jewels representing how powerful you were, from white being the weakest to black being the strongest.

It involves a girl with a white gemstone taking Harry to some version of hell, Harry of course is one level below having a black gem, until he goes through magical maturity and gets that bbg. He's trained by someone who was super powerful and yet also a sex slave.

It sounds terrible, I'm sure it was terrible, but I think it was a crossover and I'm more interested in what the crossover was. Any help would be appreciated. Fwiw, I;m 99% sure this came about after the Half Blood Prince, but definitely before Deathly Hallows.

 

It vaguely reminded me of Something Wicked This Way Comes, but I don't remember gems being a part of the story, so it's probably not that one. It covered the Slave, Hell levels, crossover (Disgaea), Harry ramping up in power, and posted a decade ago aspects.

This is The Amalgamation Agreement by TheUnrealInsomniac. It's a Harry/Daphne contract story, though not as bad as most [Daphne has some sort of hillarious social anxiety or similar condition].

 

Thanks for that link, socialist. That wasn't the story I was thinking of--I'm starting to think I just imagined it--but 'Amalgamation' was genuinely funny and original. I've never seen a Daphne characterization like that. It was like Tonks and Luna had a lovechild afflicted with Tourettes.

 

Looking for a specific Harry Potter fic. I can’t recall the title, author, or where it was originally posted, but I recall a fair amount of the plot.

The story included some HBP elements, but was definitely AU. Dumbledore was weak and dying, but he was delaying his death so Harry could get stronger. The weaker Dumbledore became, the greater Harry’s magical power became.

There were flashbacks in (I think) dream sequences about the defeat of Grindelwald, who was killed by Dumbledore in 1945 in this fic. Each side (Light and Dark) had a current champion and heir. Dumbledore is the current Light champion, with Harry identified as the heir who will inherit the Light mantle upon his death (that was why Harry‘s magic increases as Dumbledore grows weaker- the power is transferring). Voldemort became the Dark champion after Grindelwald died, which clued Dumbledore into how the transfer of power worked. Dumbledore is reluctant to kill Voldmwort without knowing who his heir is, since the Dark power would simply jump to a new host. Dumbledore thinks that if you defeat the heir first and then the champion, the cycle could finally break and the Light could win definitively.

I remember that Sirius had returned from the Veil with a pocketwatch that was heavily implied to be his (Sirius’s) horcrux, although I don’t recall that word ever being used in the fic. Sirius was hinted at being the Dark heir, without Sirius necessarily being evil (he may not have known about any of this larger situation, nor did he make the horcrux - if it was a horcrux - intentionally). Dumbledore asked Hermione to try to get details about how Sirius returned from the Veil, since he didn’t want to strike against Sirius if he were innocent.

Dumbledore had originally believed that Snape was the Dark heir, only to learn from James around Snape’s 6th or 7th year in school that he and Sirius had exaggerated many of Snape’s crimes. Dumbledore apologized to student!Snape, who did not take the apology well (something about hating Dumbledore even more now that he knew that Dumbledore had a conscience). I think the apology ended up being a catalyst for Snape joining the Death Eaters, although he defected to Dumbledore later and became a spy.

Major characters were Sirius, Hermione, Snape, Harry, and Dumbledore. Fairly dark fic from what I recall.
