I wouldnt say threat, it would be inconvenient to have the worlds mix.

 

This is why muggles pose a threat to Wizards. We are the only ones who can destroy their brand recognition.

 

This was finally released today, and they did a pretty good job of making it interesting. It's set Post-Hogwarts, where a Calamity has occurred and the Statute of Secrecy is being threatened, and it's your job to go around and eliminate "Confoundables" through spellcasting. The gyms of Pokemon Go are now "Wizarding Fortresses" where you go and combat creatures and dark wizards. Pokestops are now Inns and Greenhouses and possibly more things that I haven't discovered yet.

It doesn't lend itself to an ARG as well as Pokemon go, simply because the idea and story of Pokemon lends itself better to that. But the game is well made, shiny, and fully developed. And free unless you're dumb enough to spend real cash on microtransactions. So it's worth a shot, at least. Lets me fulfill my lifelong dream of my job title being a "Professor."

It's got friend codes and the like too. Mine is 9218 9654 0662. It's only useful if you're in the same area and you're taking on Wizarding Fortresses, but there's achievements for filling up your friends list that give rewards.

Also you can be DAMN sure I'm going to incorporate Wizarding Fortresses into a fic at some point. A fortress that springs from the ground following a calamity that wizards need to take down? hell yeah.

 

Is there some kind of storyline, or is it literally just an HP reskin of Pokemon GO?

 

There’s a full storyline, involving Harry, Hermione, and some OCs. Ron’s dead I guess idk.
