Just started playing 2 weeks ago.

Mostly just do the daily quest.

Should I buy packs as I get gold or save it?

What are the solo quests? Are they worth it?

There’s not really any point to saving gold. You can either buy packs or Arena entries with it, and neither of those ever change in price so I say spend your moneys.

Solo adventures are just for fun. Completing them will get you a card back or hero skin at best, neither of which affect the game.

This is my lunch time break game for awhile, 3-4 games a day.

Although getting a bit sick of people crushing be with their decks already.

That's gonna happen until you pull out your wallet, sadly enough. The FTP experience is not in any way competitive, and it's been a few years since the last time there was more than one or two cards in the basic set that saw competitive play.

    Lol. Kingsbane dead.

I waited forever for a control rogue deck. I had two weeks.

I'm quitting HS. I was already sour on it, this pushed me over.

Leeching Poison was nerfed to last only 1 turn. Kingsbane now has no way to stabilize when low.

I mean, you can still use leeching poison. Healing for 8-15 is still pretty damn good, especially if you pair it with Doomerang and double up on the healing.

The only thing that really changes is that Kingsbane rogue has ceased to be completely unkillable to everything not OTK. That's a big hit, don't get me wrong, and it definitely seems excessive, given that Kingsbane rogue was never particularly great, but it's not the end of the world.

Well, it is the end of that deck.

There were some experiments with aggro rogue right after the expansion came out, and it used Kingsbane along with pirates to burst the hell out of opponents. But for the control-killer Kingsbane rogue as it has been? It's gone. It loses to aggro harder and lost all sustainability in the long game against control.

Kingsbane + leeching poison sucked so much to face. Although, it was fun to drop Lich-Queen Jaina and freeze the rogue character, I'm really happy for this change.

This is the problem with card games. People hate what they lose to.

No one says thinks it's fair when they lose to odd rogue, or whatever the t1 deck de jour is now that odd paladin got nerfed. You didn't like getting smacked with a 12 atk kingsbane? I'm assuming you prefer it when any other deck kills you with their busted combos, then?

Kingsbane got the tools to not lose 80% of the time against aggro decks. You still weren't favoured, but you could stabilise consistently enough that it could be competitive. Now? Leeching poison is useless. Leeching wasn't there to heal you for 12 when you're in end game, it was there to give consistent healing so you're not overrun by aggro - when your weapon only has 4 attack or less.

Whatever. I'm done bitching. I'll vote with my wallet and time.

God bless the death of Kingsbane. One of Wild Thief Rogue's hardest matchups, and responsible for the prevalence of oozes that kill my beautiful spectral cutlass. Now, the only one with a 12/4 lifestealing weapon will be me!

Baku and Greymane are being moved to the hall of fame at the next rotation so will move to wild one year earlier. Naturalize, doomguard, divine favor, gloomstag, black cat, glitter moth and murkspark eel are also going. A lot of other stuff being added.

Going to craft a goden Greymane as I don't have him. Probably Baku as well.

Smells to me like they're desperately trying to detoxify the brand after everything that went down in the past year at game and company level. Alongside the new esports format and all.

I'm guessing HCT 2019/20 will be the last season.

I'm still questioning the Doomguard HoF. He was only a issue in Cubelock but that will be gone with rotation.

@Oment I'm glad to read most of these HOF choices..but what made HCT so toxic? That has bypassed me completely.

The brand of Hearthstone (Baku and Genn are getting HoF'd for a reason, royally slow adjustments on cards cf. the Druid and Hunter changes) and Blizzard (which is legitimate 'living under rock' territory, sorry) itself haven't had the best year from a consumer's perspective to say the least.
