Artemis Fowl has more character development in a few years than Harry had in the entire series.

 

Fingers crossed the kid they've got is good enough to pull it off.

 

I'm not sure about the casting for the bodyguard tbh. The kid looks the part enough. Loved these books as a kid.

 

I would have aged him up a year or two, but I'm still hype. Those books are in my top 10 series list from childhood.

I reread the first 4 books a while back and they actually aged quite well, despite being very "kid friendly". Holly, Butler, and Artemis are all just really great characters.

 

Based on the trailer for Artemis Fowl, I'm ready to wager they've fucking nailed it.

That is exactly how I pictured the kid. And while when I was a teenager reading these books, I pictured Butler as Stone Cold Steve Austin, I can absolutely picture Nonso Anozie in the role.

My hype is fully erect.

 

I've always assumed that Artemis Fowl and Tom Marvolo Riddle looked exactly the same as kids. I'm going to enjoy this movie.

 

Well this is going to be a fucking masterpiece. The fans are already going insane over this and Sega, who has greenlit things like Sonic 06 and Boom, is apparently horrified.
