And yeah when I can't remember anything but a lump campaign player I'm assuming it's a smokescreen. Just feels lurky. Still not sure how I should be handling Lump but people incessantly asking for it is making me very suspicious.

Campaigning for lump, pushing it on others. Its all happened so many times with a big chunk of this group i basically treat it as a pre-rand decision.

But i think both cobalt and citrus have crossed that line into talking about lump to avoid talking about other things

 

Uh, it's a read I don't really want to go fully There with yet, I will if I still feel the same way by day end but suffice it to say that it's one that I feel relatively confident at the moment and there's a lot that I'd sort of expect to see or be here that's...not at even a little bit? Most of her stuff feels like JustWords. And will sound absurd especially coming from me, but I can kind of /feel/ like her play, attitude and things here have some huge similarities of when I was scum against her.

And I like Toms explanation re; the lump situation. Objectively wanting to be lumped is bad play regardless of alignment imo (Probably worse as town though? Since as scum you're swapping yourself for the priest so makes sense for weak scum members on some level), but people will always want to do it for the 'fun' aspect, it's when it's the /only/ thing they're doing that makes it feel like it's for show to get town read and to allow them to post /something/ without having to fake too many reads and thoughts.

I don't think I really do gut reads anymore. Probably town I guess if you forced me to lock in alignments right now, but my reasoning for that is kind of bad and he's nowhere near outside his scum range, so it would be a little premature. I'm not very worried about trying to get a solid read on him at this point though. How do you feel about the stuff I posted about him so far? How much of the thread have you read atm?

Not that much of it. I think Vaimes tends to be self-sorting given a day or two, so it's almost a waste of time to dither about on him? I haven't really looked much in depth on what anyone has said about Vaimes. I liked one of his earlier on posts, but then he hasn't been memorable since (and also ignoring me, which I guess I deserve for doing it to him, but still what a jerk!)

I'm not sure what you mean about I'm not in a spot to be playing normally, I am playing normally? I'm not obsessing about the game, sure, but there's literally nothing holding me back or whatever in any way. I don't think I've been this happy or chilled out in a mafia game maybe ever. I kind of struggle to believe you actually have that kind of scumread on me here to be completely honest, if it is a real read from you then please talk about why and go over it properly because just saying I'm basically lockscum to you out of nowhere like this isn't very helpful. Jari pings me sometimes in games, I think he sees me as kind of a leader type figure maybe? I think we've only been in like 2 games together and I was in scum in one of them and was shot night 1 in the other so I wouldn't exactly say we're that familiar with each other. He's not really someone I'd expect to vibe with for the most part, no.

I ping people that are around when I feel like playing the game. I feel like we've been in more than two games together, but could be that I hosted one of those and spectated some others. Feel like we've got a decent bit of familiarity by now but that could just be me ^.^
