You're thinking of Anthony Mackie, who played Falcon. He got snapped.

Why is Thor looking in the complete opposite direction of everyone else?

Edit: trailer has me hype even though there's little new. Per usual, just hoping the stakes are real. I expect at least one OG Avenger death (Cap or Tony). I also hope Thanos doesn't just bite it. He's so interesting I'd hate to see him go.

Last scene in the trailer was fun for me if only because I'd love to see Thor and CM wreck shit in space together.

After the completely retarded plot but amazing action of Infinity War I look forward to a fun but nonsensical movie.

Maybe it will answer questions like: why is every character incapable of making hard but necessary decisions, why didn't Doctor Strange use the time stone at all, etc.

Not sure what you mean. Thanos killed his daughter. The one he loved. It’s why he won.

It showed the weakness of the heroes (their inability to sacrifice vision) and the strength of the villain.

Honestly in my opinion the sooner that stupid trope/ideology dies the better. The amount of shit that has been justified with "hard men making hard decisions" is thoroughly depressing and I would rather not see people trying to legitimise that bullshit even more than they already do...

Can't say I disagree with you.

The sacrifice theme was pretty apparent from the jump in Infinity War though. The inability to sacrifice Vision (a fucking robot), Quill's inability to sacrifice Gamora before Thanos, both contributed to the crushing defeat. To use an irritating spots analogy that is full of fallacies, Thanos wanted it more. It's why I expect one or more Avengers to bite it in Endgame. They finally ran into an enemy that couldn't be beaten.

To be fair. Quill did pull the trigger. Thanos had the reality stone by that point though, so it was rendered moot (just like Vision's first death).

Vision was going to die anyways if Thanos got the stone. He either died then or later. Or he could have fled the planet, though not sure how easily that could be done.

Everything involves tradeoffs/hard decisions. You either consider the tradeoffs or you ignore them.

Doctor Strange being freaking stupid the whole movie was hard to excuse. I'm betting it'll be some long convoluted explanation about how he foresaw this was the best path forward....but then the whole trope of heroes not making sacrifices would be inverted.

... are you saying that it's because he's black and I'm racist... that I can't tell them apart? ;)

You're right though. It was Falcon I was thinking of.

The problem with emphasising it, is that people get seduced by the hard decisions.

But at the same time, it’s more analogous to real life than you’d think. Despite our current economic system using this as a foundational idea, people are not rational beings that always act in their own best interest. We are flawed beings subject to emotion which can make us equally strong or weak, depending on the the context of the situation.

Beat me to it. Apparently they were 'persuaded by his apology and handling of the situation.'

Not because they fucked up and their best director was jumping ship to work for the opposition.

I'll be interested to see what suicide squad will turn out to be.

    @Kensington

Responding to this here since it’s Marvel focused.

Please show me where the people who are critical of captain marvel have said it is because she is a woman? Every complaint or negative thing on this thread I’ve seen has to do with legitimate criticism.

Please provide evidence that members are whining about Marvel bc she is female.

I've been told Captain Marvel is a Kree vs Skrull to Israel vs Palestine allegory, so I'll compromise and torrent it.

It may well be, but certain topics have a history on this forum of derailing discussions with massive off topic tangents and for that reason mega threads have been made for their exclusive discussion - wizards vs Muggles, second amendment, and Israel/Palestine.
