She liked Vaimes. I'm not at a townread on Vaimes yet but I can see how his early posts had good tone to make her like them.

She wants to like tom. This makes sense to me, I think tom's posts feel a bit more forced as scum so I'd tentatively gutlean his posts town.

She likes Cobalt's entrance, definitively, and that's a view I agree with and makes sense for her to have.

She thinks Gemma is towny and I'm not sold on that one but I can see why Manasi would think it since Gemma has had a decent presence and hasn't been scared to post things.

Essentially, Manasi's post, besides having good tone/attitude/whatever, seems consistent in why she is townreading people, because I think Vaimes/tom both have had similar play so far, so it makes sense she'd like both, and she'd like someone like Gemma, who, like Cobalt, has posted early contact in a non-tentative way.

I also think Manasi's "defensiveness" about Fonti is fine as well. Manasi's overall attitude feels very peppy and excited to be playing, and I think being excited that someone may be about to shade you and you'll get to fight back, fits with that attitude.

And to keep talking about Manasi, I think her view on Gemma makes total sense. Gemma telling people to get serious when she's been posting her (lovely, I might add) bird comics is a contradiction that Manasi is right to wonder about. And the flipping of her read on Gemma for it feels fluid and not like scum forcing a case. As scum, Manasi wouldn't really need to turn on Gemma there.

I'd have to let Manasi answer that. But I don't see it as a contradiction. Gemma's early posting about Silver could feel "non-tentative", and more noticeable than the memes. Only when you post a "stop kidding around guys" does Manasi then notice the memes more and think it's an issue.

 

I didn't mean to say okay stop dicking around. I just said I'd come back later. Anyway I don't mind shitposting, I just don't want to be around when people don't take their reads seriously or use irony to heavily distance themselves from the game and pretend that they're above it all.

Imagine the galaxy brain meme, where the smallest brain is Vaimes thinking “the more serious Dels is, the more likely he’s scum.” I’m pulling from two games (town and scum) for reference, obviously; I guess Manasi or a person who knows Dels can tell me what other nuances I should be paying attention to.

Also Vaimes the only thing I really know about Dels' meta is that you can't read him for effort because he efforts ridiculously hard regardless of alignment. You were there with me, we discovered this together. I know he's not in the best headspace IRL atm so I am trying not to read too much into what you are reading into.
