I don't really see how they could have been thinking this in the world where Jari was a hit, since you and others established yesterday that GD had to claim today, and if witches didn't have the role then they had to know that it was going to be outed that Jari was a witch.

Reasons.

 

One of the things that's holding me back on buying the "Muz is a villager and Jari was a witch" narrative is that, critically, Muz waited until I outed I had a defensive role to out himself. In the world where Muz is a witch and Jari was a villager, he's got to wait for me to out - witches don't know if Jari angel saved me or if my role saved me, so him claiming Jari was a miss runs the risk of me going "nah I'm not a defensive role you're outed".

I don't think him waiting makes it necessarily more likely he's a witch, since fonti's got a point about the classic "I don't trust any of you about what to do with my role" first time witchhunt mentality, but it does make me pause.

I've read the Angel/Demon stuff closely, and it seems to be saying that Demons can't mess with the Angel save apart from giving protect target a macho modifier via haunt, is that true? Can someone confirm the protect isn't voted on like in TH? Do they even share a dead qt?

As far as I remember he had other posts expressing suspicion of fonti. I'll go back and check when I'm feeling masochistic enough.

 

Here's how angels/demons work in WH.

They each get their own chat but they also share a dead chat that they can shitpost to each other in.

Halfway through the night, Demons lock in 2 Haunt targets. Priest checks on those two people return the result for the other one. The angels learn who the haunts are, then decide on a protect. If there are more demons than angels OR parity they can't protect a Haunted target. If there are more angels, they can protect a Haunted target but if they do they can't ever protect that person again.

Then also there's the once-per-game double protect thing but that's irrelevant to what you're talking about, which at this point I don't even know what that is.

You're right, I should have thought it through a little better and demanded a GD claim before I said anything about my role.

I was a little tilted at some of the SoD2 suspicion of me and that kind of dominated my thinking last night; wasn't in the best frame of mind to take a step back and think the mechanics through.

Muz could be a witch with Vaimes or Gemma and Jarizok is town, though I think this isn't likely.

I want to think that Jarizok is a witch because that is what I was going forward on yesterday. I don't think there's any reason to actively mistrust muzjik with his GD claim at this point (as in, I don't think indepth speculation being town is going to be helpful unless you want to pair it with a case & lynch on muzjik).

I kinda still wanna lynch cobalt tbh
