I'm not sure what to think. On one hand,
    Palpatine returning(?)
is exciting, but why do it in the last episode? The good guys will win anyway, so does he really need to appear here only to be defeated like an hour later? I have a bad feeling about this overall, but I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised.

    EDIT:
Okay, he'll probably just be a ghost since they're visiting the ruins of the Death Star or something.

But are they going to blow it up? That's real question.

Hellboy isn't quite as catastrophically bad as some of the reviews have suggested, but it's definitely a bad film, all the soul of del Toro's version replaced with blood and guts and shouting and swearing. Some of the set pieces are fleetingly entertaining, but that's about the best I can say.

Define bad. Because bad can be great (id4 for example).

I went in expecting it to be hilariously bad, was just bored. The plot is coherent, but thematically the same as Golden Army with elements of the first, so unoriginal even within the wider franchise. Script didn't make me laugh either at the bits that should have been funny or at bits that shouldn't, so arguably better than, say, Aquaman, but without any real charm whatsoever. Action scenes I could follow, but not much of interest happening, and buried below buckets of gore because edgy.

    Basically, just dull. Really dull.

Was dragged to Hellboy last weekend, and I won't say it's the worst movie I've ever seen, but I will say it's the worst movie I remember sitting the entire way through.

The pace of dialogue reminded me of Suicide Squad: obvious joke lines fall flat not because of poor delivery, but because there's no time to process them before they're on to the next snarky jokes. It also seemed like there was a lot of ham-handed fan service, but I'm not a Hellboy fan so I could only figure it out from context.

It was incredibly and graphically violent, but so over the top that it was actually boring. Dialogue was horrendous, but the plot was serviceable even if characters were introduced in an obvious assemble-the-team way. Leaned too heavily on flashbacks as well. Overall it just felt kind of soulless.

The biggest question I had: if Hellboy was raised by an Englishman, why does he have a General American accent?

Where the Wild Things Are wins the award for Worst Movie I've Ever Seen.

To this day it's still the only movie I ever wanted to walk out of the cinema of. Unfortunately, I was there with others so I couldn't. Every minute longer the movie went I was getting more annoyed though, lol.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

A nice F&F short film about Hobbs and Shaw. A 3,5 minutes of a pure rule of cool and fun.

What? It's a trailer for a normal film? Surely, they would hold back something if that was the case. At least the final battle?

I still maintain that Heath Ledger still holds the crown (well, I mean...) for the best Joker. Nobody else quite hits the same level of deranged madman without going overboard.

I'll always hold Hamill as the best Joker of all time. Ledger is definitely the best live action Joker though, can't disagree with you there.

Hamill reprized the role in The Last Jedi, so I would say there's some room for direct comparison.

John wick chapter three looks like they ramped the bullshit up exponentially and it looks amazing so I’m pretty excited for it.

Holy shit, that's bad. I think posting anything related to the Sonic movie should be banned from now on.

    ... I'd watch it.

I'm not saying it's gonna be a masterpiece, but it seems entertaining enough.

How odd. I don't know why detective pikachu hit me so right, yet sonic is hitting me so wrong. It's probably the gangster's paradise they keep popping in that. And a lot of other things.
