The 'secret message' hidden in the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer:

So far, Fallen Order looks OK, but nothing special aside from the Star Wars setting - although from what I hear, the extended demo shown to the press was a lot more interesting, so we'll see. Cyberpunk still sounds very interesting. Elden Ring seems too early to really say anything about, for me. I'm not enough of a fan of From or GRRM to be automatically invested simply due to their involvement, and the trailer didn't really do much more than hint that the setting is going to be (potentially) weird and wonderful. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it, but I'm not exactly hyped yet.

The one I'm most enthusiastic about at the moment is Deathloop, the new Arkane game. I loved the Dishonored series, and this looks like it's got some equally cool and interesting concepts behind it.

Going by the rumours, Lady Gaga is somehow involved with the game. Not sure, if she's suppose to play one of the idols.

Caught up on the trailers for Outer Worlds, which looks a whole lot of fun, and 12 Minutes, another time loop game, this time from the publishers of What Remains of Edith Finch, one of my favourite games of the last few years. As you can see, it looks like an absolute laugh riot, but I'm very interested, although not yet confirmed for PS4...

Love the graphics. Was one of the first games I've really liked the look of in the PC conference.

Looks like it took some inspiration from Space Station 13, it's even got Ops.

    Shenmue III looks... really dated.

First bit of Bloodlines gameplay was very very short, not enough to draw from. Shame, but I get that they're in pre-alpha. Q1 2020 is gonna be hectic.

That was a great introduction to the new Watch Dogs - gameplay, concept, and story.

Watchdogs Legion looks fun yeah, but I'm also a bit worried about it. The 'recruit everyone anywhere' line sounds cool, but at the end it looked like there are only a few archetype 'classes' (fighter / hacker / drone user / assasin etc.) and some palette-swapped models (I saw multiple crowned skull masks, and the granny model looked the same too).

I wonder how long you'll have to play before the permadeath loses it's value when Granny number 3 dies and you recruit number 4 an hour later.

Yeah. I can see how merging some sort of level up/drop mechanic might help that. "Oh no, Granny Number 3 died and she had enough hacking for getting through mega-drones." There was some indication towards that being the case with the stats/traits that each person had.

I can see how that can go really badly too, though...

Nah the idols are all dudes. She might be playing Johnny Silverhand's technically dead lover though?

I’ve never played FF7, so looking forward to the remake to actually experience the game.

    ^Likewise.
I was expecting the Avengers game to interest me a bit more than it did. I believe there's some gameplay coming later in the week, so we'll see how that goes, but for now, it looked pretty underwhelming to be honest.

Who are those people cosplaying as the Avengers in the trailer?

I had to do multiple double takes at the animation on Thor’s cape. That… did not look great, to say the least.

Avengers didn’t wow me. I know it would’ve been hard, but the lack of the actual actors who have embodied these roles detracts from the presentation.

Furthermore, I think the game would have benefited from more of an RPG mentality. Create your own hero who works alongside these heroes.

Only thing that might grab me is if this is in the same verse as the Spider-Man game.

It's a good thing that after early rumours I wasn't really expecting anything from Avengers because at the moment they're rather mediocre.

The models are probably the worst part. They're neither a MCU nor a comicbook versions and they're very bland for an original take on these characters.

Marvel Universe is perfect for this kind of game because, unlike DC, most heroes are within one city. You just create NY on a scale of GTA game and put them all in for the player to team-up with.

Then you can have a bunch of DLC adding adventures and new places like: Latveria, the Negative Zone, Wakanda, the Moon, the Savage Land and many others.

If there's one thing that the internet has taught me, time and time again, it's that Final Fantasy fans are fucking creepy.

As great as that would be, it seems unlikely given Spider-Man was a PS4 exclusive. Maybe some bonus material for each game (or Spidey 2), but I'd be very surprised if there was a proper link.
