Okay, I'll probably watch the Scarlett Witch and Hawkeye shows, BW and Thor movies all of my yes, Spiderman too, but I'm not so hot on anything else tbh.

Have you seen Endgame? I can't remember how tbh, but he leaves mjolnir to Valkyrie at the end and keeps the axe.

Initial reaction to all these was hype. More I read though the hype decreases. :/

 

She's playing Thena which works pretty well. Not sure if with this change she still is to be the main focus of the film like was suggested in early rumours when she was expected to play Sersi.

 

Maybe it’s just me but it feels like they’re doing to the MCU what they did to star wars.

Meh. I’ve lost all interest in future Star Wars movies. I really only care about Spidey going forward.

Anyways back to writing my quest.

 

I‘ll still care about the characters they‘ve introduced up until now until Marvel gives me a reason to stop. Anyone who comes in from now on will have to work significantly harder to hold my interest.

Cap took the hammer back in time, along with all the stones, so the past would remain the same. How he got it to Asgard is still in question, but the only thing left to Valkyrie was the title of King... Queen... whatever.

 

After Endgame I got suddenly hit by Marvel fatigue. Haven't seen Spidey 2 yet. Three films a year was already pushing it imo, I never watched any of the Netflix shows anyway. If they drop eleventy million things to keep up with, then I suspect every other film won't be pulling in a bln bucks at the box office, especially when the film will be on Disney+ a few months after the cinema release.

 

I just realized that I'm completely wrong about who is playing who in Eternals. I assumed that Kumail Nanjiani is playing Makkari who was the central character of Neil Gaiman's Eternal series, but he's playing Kingo Sunen who wasn't in it. Makkari is played by Lauren Ridloff and a female now. Add that to Salma Hayek as Ajak and Lia McHugh as Sprite and that's three characters changed from male to female with no outrage on the Internet. This probably confirms how obscure and of little importance these characters are even to most Marvel comics fans.

Has anyone gone back to see the bonus content at the end of the new Endgame release? Was it anything worthwhile?

 

Didn't go and see it, but apparently there was: a tribute to Stan Lee with behind the scenes footage of him filming his cameos; an unfinished/deleted scene of Hulk rescuing some people from a burning building before the diner meeting; a Far From Home teaser.

So doesn't sound like I missed much by not going.

 

I can confirm. The Far From Home teaser was literally the first five minutes of the movie.

 

In other news:

I willfully admit I was wrong but hopeful when I said Endgame wasn't going strong enough to beat out Avatar as #1. The declining numbers, week after week, told the story. It looked as if it would take another month at the theaters in order to make up the difference, and that probably wasn't going to happen.

Well, Endgame is indeed #1 now. I'm glad I was wrong. Avatar is annoying.

 

I was predicting it would top Avatar by week 7. That definitely didn't happen. The week to week drop off was pretty severe. It likely wouldn't have made that last 15ish mil without the bonus features run.

Anyways, the King is dead at last. Long live the King.

 

More importantly, Age of Ultron established that the Avengers (except for Cap) couldn’t lift the hammer. Now we are supposed to believe that Jane can do it by virtue of being Thor’s girlfriend?

 

I'm going to laugh so hard if the new Avatars somehow smacks Avengers back down.

I would have said Disney, but they fucking own everything now, including Avatar.
