I'm assuming 60% of all players will be warriors/rogues.

One thing that has me completely hesitant to play is how stupidly unbalanced vanilla was. Casters were just dogshit until ZG and no one could compete with rogue/warrior dps.

I also don't ever remember a tank other than prot warrior.

Oh. And bloodlust.

I'd be way more eager to play if there was some minor class balancing, but people would lose their fucking minds, especially the cancerous classic community.

I'm more interested to see what they do once vanilla content runs dry.

 

Bloodlust wasn't a thing in vanilla; it was originally a level 70 spell added in Burning Crusade (I'd thought it was a vanilla thing too, but someone pointed that out earlier today and I looked it up).

Also, it should be noted that Classic isn't actually running 1.0; it's running 1.13, the final Vanilla patch before Burning Crusade was released. The only difference is that, at "launch", all of the raid content except for Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair are locked out. All the abilities and talent trees and class balance and all that is pure end o' Naxx.

 

Recommend people avoid Faerlina as that's where all the streamers are headed.

 

@Innomine I'll be playing Alliance on Arugal with a few friends and I'm fairly certain that @Dark Syaoran will also be playing on that server as well because he's a huge slut for PvP.

 

Huh. Genuinely didn't know. Was always alliance. Still, they DEF had windfury totem, that shit is busted.

And what I meant by ZG is a reference to hit gear finally coming from ZG crafted sets, not the patch itself. Also there's things like the debuff limit that are just pure cancer... Unless that shit is removed for Classic?

Yeah, made a dwarf priest on the PvP OCE server. Still unsure if I'll play.

 

Classic is running on 1.12, not 1.13 so no TBC talents and the debuff limit is 16.

 

Got 3 names reserved last night on Shazzrah. I wonder how many names were reserved, at one point I was position 10k in queue.

Looking forward to launch, hopefully it goes smoothly.

 

Oh sweet, what guild are you guys playing in? I found one that raids NZ times, Alliance, so will be playing with them. Been on their Discord for a while now, seem like a bunch of cool guys.

 

Honestly I don't have any set plans for guilds right now. Originally the plan was to just play and just join one that seemed fun, but a few of my friends from lodge that are playing are thinking of making one so I'll probably just figure it out when it happens. I'm also not really expecting anything too fancy from a DLP guild since it normally has like 10 members max from what I've seen in the past.

Sel and Syao are playing rogues, I plan to play a warlock, and Menace is a warrior. We're playing Alliance since we rolled horde for BFA. Anyone who claims otherwise is a liar.

 

Made a dwarf priest on the OCE PvP server if anyone wants a heal bot to level. Might see if i can worm my way into a guild to one day get Benediction.

 

Phase 2 will be beautiful on pvp servers.

With the honor ranks and no bgs, people will be farming people out in the world and the people lvling in the higher zones are like free candy.

It will be a bloodbath until bgs.
