There's absolutely nothing mystical going on here. Between birth and your twenties you don't have a lot of money. Between your thirties and death you have more sense than is desirable to market media in your direction. If a bunch of stuff from your childhood that isn't actually as good as you remember it is being brought back to the surface, it's because you're in the right age range.
