Ah, sights just like from the homeland.

 

So the first one post is the point of view of an idiot, anyone who has problems with people talking about climate change is.

But I read the tweet as him saying that if someone is old enough to lead world events talking about climate change then 16 is old enough to consent to sex. Not that he wants to fuck Greta.

Obviously still an idiotic tweet.

 

Heh, when I landed in America I had to be escorted to a secondary detention facility as my fingerprints apparently matched a deported criminals.

The other inmates/residents were snoring under blankets, but the dude who processed me had an excellent sense of humour. All in all, could have gone far worse.

 

... damn that's a hell of a way to start the trip.

First time visiting? Because if it is then that's such a shitty first experience lol.

 

I for one just got a dodgy look from the customs official when I said I was travelling by myself and that it was my first time out of Europe.

 

Yeah, first time. Honestly, I went in there expecting the worse, so I was just happy to come out of it without an anal cavity search.

I was not prepared for the humour and courtesy of the guy in there.

Also. It’s a great story. Sounds awful, but wasn’t actually so bad. Also made for some fantastically awkward conversation starters with VIPs who asked how the trip was haha.

 

Well, good to hear that it didn't sour your visit too much. Do be ready for potential repeats though. One of my aunts shares a name with someone with ties to the cartels and they have to allocate an extra two hours whenever she travels to the US in case it throws up flags and they have to go through the whole process of proving she isn't that person.

 

Honestly, this was the first time going through international aviation security that I hadn't been checked for bombs (Thanks Australia). I think that being mis recognised for a deported criminal was nicer than being 'randomly' selected to make sure I wasn't a terrorist.

I even took printouts of everywhere I was going, and everything I was doing. They didn't ask to see any proof.

I come from a family of russian jews. I have a beard. When I tan, I look like "generic middle eastern man". I have arabic in my passport from when I visited Egypt and Jordan. I get randomly selected 95% percent of the time, ut I've only had one bad experience. Usually I just shoot the shit with the dude doing the screening.

 

If they really put out that sign, and no one showed up trying to pay with a goat high on shrooms, then I am disappointed.
