Sooooooo my attempt to discern if Mendel had the type of personality that would feel snubbed if ignored on a friendly reach out at a new site by reading discord wasn't all that fruitful for much than he seems to be an expert in nutrition. Well that's not true; he seems friendly enough that I buy that being a genuine reaction regardless of his alignment. If I recall correctly, last game shadow was very genuine in feeling unwelcome even though he was scum. If he'd had the personality of a jackass or something I'd probably be all pitchforks right now, but eh never mind that possibility.

Seem like the type who wants to interact a lot based on games I've read of yours. I could be misremembering tbf but I don't think I am.

Tammy town is a level of engagement thing, seemed eager to want to play the game and I'm pretty sure she doesn't enjoy randing mafia as much as town. Possible she has a really fun teammate so that's why she felt that way, but from skimming her other stuff today I still just think she's town.

Yeah, you misread that. I probably wasn't very clear. Earlier Mendel said he felt snubbed that I ignored his early RVS vote on me and mentioned being new here. I wondered if I could learn something about his personality by reading his comments on discord as I remember seeing him posting in the spectator chat for the recent mafia universe championships. My thought was that his comment to me could be alignment relevant if he was a sort of personality persuasion, which he didn't seem to be, so.

 

One of those post is talking for him the other is to him. There is a distinct difference.

Nope...super defensive reaction to light pressure. I stand by my point that her alleged joking of fluff was different than the other posts. Too early in the day to just fixate on one person. That's bitten me in the ass before.

Also I walked in the door and Bear head butted me in the face so got a bit sidetracked in focus

How insulted should i be?

 

Terrain - I don't feel super defensive, but I am annoyed by our interaction because it feels to me like it's in bad faith. I can understand early pressure to try to interact and get reads, fine. Game needs to start somewhere. What is inconceivable to me is that anyone could actually think that first post was serious. So you doubling and tripling down on it reads to me as an argument coming from bad faith, and it's annoying and it feels scummy. But 90% of early game scum hunting feels scummy to me; I cannot tell the difference between town making an argument from BS to get the game going and scum who are trying to look like they are which is why I don't scum hunt early games, and multiball makes it even worse because even if you are scum the argument might not actually be in bad faith, but the approach you're taking to me is one very often used by scum so yeah my back is a bit up.

 

If I'm being honest...this is most people's read on me early on...not going to promise it gets better.

I'm actually of the opinion that ika was a very competent and enjoyable player when he wasn't being purposefully antagonistic and obnoxious (i.e. 10% of the time). I'm saying you remind me of that 10%.

I would point out that this game usually requires thick skin, and it's pretty early to be annoyed at being questioned but eh.

Terrain - I really like that response actually. (It’s often people’s early read on me too. Everyone’s annoying in mafia at times.)

Sloth - nope, no strong or weak leads as of yet. Still in observation mode. I want to say empoof town, but I like empoof as a player. So am I leaning town there because he’s called me town and I think he’s an enjoyable player or because I actually think he’s town? Not sure yet.
