I liked Vaimes process last night for town, I'm gonna need to marinate on it for a bit to be sure but his heelturn-like reaction feels really in line with what I remember Vaimes to be like.

That is a logical statement but shouldn't Sloth's partner be the focus? Lynch them and we are ablE to protect town from a dual NK.

 

Basically the point that Empoof was making; that we'd really like to lynch Sloth's partner today, and TerRaine could simply be on the other team. In which case Sloth's partner would be hunting her today. You're not the only option for that position, just an obvious one.

God this is murky to try and read/sort through. Jarizok/fluff are giving so little to really parse out.

My reads on people are bad, @TerRaine , it's pretty simple. I'm not good at this game. I still have to go back to the first post to double check and remember who all are even in the game, so I pretty often forget. I probably also just have more people in the "probably town" slot than I ought to and should stick to having a lot more nulls. Trying and oscillating through a lot of different tactics, going from "conservative reads with lots of nulls" to "bullet to my head town list" to "follow the lead of people who seem to know what they're talking about"

I rarely have more than 10 minutes to sit down and type something out so trying to form big, rational opinions is muy dificile.

So what? It's not like we can't lynch them in D3...I'd rather delay lynching part of Team 2 and nixing the dual NK. Brushing off doesn't make them bulletproof it just delays the inevitable

Okay scenario time. @Mendel ya stick with scummy TerRaine wagon and get a town flip. How does this flow into your reads

 

Here's a suggestion: if you have a murky middle ground, don't slot people. Instead make a list from "towny" to "scummy", that way you can compare players to each other, and that can guide your thoughts. I should probably do the same thing soon.

 

You think Sloth would paint such a bold arrow to his more powerful scum partner given his tying him into me and tunneling Vaimes?

If you flip town, I'll think "Sloth knows Terraine so well, he townread her off her entrance, and based his D1 strategy off that", and then Jarizok could be his partner. But it depends on you actually flipping town. See how that works out?

Ok, this logic doesn't work for a multiball setting. You supposed buddying/pocketing Cerber would show you're not aligned, but it wouldn't clear CerberAsta.

 

Thing is...sloth isn't a bad player. Rusty maybe but not out right stupid. If he succeeded and lynched me I would have flipped town and it wouldn't have painted him in a town light. The only explanation I have therefore is Sloth honestly thought I was scum. I don't think he'd put all his eggs in one basket if he thought there was a chance a me flipping town. And if he thought I was scum then his actions set up partner Jari for failure...something he wouldnt do

 

Scum have no reason to fake townreads. Of course he thought you were scum.

The only other option is he wanted to lunch you for fun.

This is the same argument for No Lunching on Day1.

 

I mean I still think Sloth thought TerRaine was town and was trying to lynch a town to further his win condition. Lynching the other scum team day 1 isn't ideal.

 

This is just not a thing mannn. How is lynching town terRaine furthering his win condition more than lynching anyone else xept his partner and himself? All that push’d do is make him look bad on flip.
