I think the canonical answer is 'Manos: The Hands of Fate'. If you haven't heard of it I would recommend look it up. It's really quite something. The worst part bout it is that it's not even funny because of it's lack of quality. It's just bad.

'2001: A Space Travesty' on the other hand holds a special place of hatred in my heart. I'm a fan of Leslie Nielsen and his brand of humor. But here just none of the jokes land. I mean just look at this, it's a total shit show.

Either of the Percy Jackson movie adaptations could fit this title.

I mean seriously, I can’t recall a worse movie adaptation of a popular book

    Star Wars: The Last Jedi

nothing else has ever given me such a profound sense of disappointment and disgust.

We'll see if this is soon overtaken by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Napoleon Dynamite. I hated the 47 minutes I bothered to stay.

The Happening. It's the only film I've ever walked out of the theatre on.

The first one was alright as a standalone movie imo though they obviously dropped the ball with adapting it and focusing on the target audience. It was the second one that was absolutely horrible in every way. It was terrible, I remember watching that movie in a basically empty theater with my sister and yet I can hardly remember the plot besides the fact that they killed off the series villain in the second movie of what was supposed to be a trilogy. Im glad it flopped the third would probably have been just as much dogshit as the second.

Its just so frustrating to see that they could have copied the model of the harry potter movies like the author wanted but copped out with shitty teenage YA romance drama in some poor facsimile of the Hunger Games.

In this age of remakes and reboots and whatnot I hope that the series gets one as well, but I doubt it.

It was one of my favorite book series as a kid, so I really hope they remake all of it to be a movie series on the level of HP. Doubtful, but I still have my hopes.

I think it could possibly happen. I mean, if yet another reboot of Charlie’s Angels can get funding, then an immensely popular book series that still has an audience waiting for the first successful attempt should be cake.

My hope is that someone high up in Hollywood sees the financial potential and gives it a shot
