Holy Fuck!

Hot damn that's fugly. It's now official, I'm *not* seeing the movie.

 

Nah, James is the one in the middle, as he is the only dude with glasses. Don't particulary care about who( or what..) they cast as I didn't have any intention of seeing the movie.

 

The guy in the middle will be James I reckon. His dad in the mirror on the Philosophers stone film has similar coloured hair. Arent these guys supposed to be the coolest kids in school? They look like science geeks.

Edit: Ha! I assume the one of Pettigrew above is when James is hanging Snape upside down. Check out the guy with glasses. He's getting a good look and is enjoying it.

 

If the above is Peter Pettigrew then I guess he fails the role. Wasn't Peter just a tag-along of the Marauders and not some Draco Malfoy clone [his hair brushed up like that reminds me of the little ferret]?

 

...And my family's going to want to go see the movie too. Reminder: Bring earplugs for sleeping.

Snape doesn't look too bad except for the emo look. Fix the hair a bit and he'd do okay. Tonks...I don't know. Ignoring the existence of this movie now.

 

The Marauders...NO. They're supposed to be the cool crowd, not the pathetic bunch. As someone stated Snape looks better than them. Shame on the casting people!

Tonks. Ugh.

Do I even want to watch this movie?

 

Could the guy wearing glasses in the above picture be Frank Longbottom? They can't possibly let James Potter look so nerdy.

I don't think we can take the film Mirror of Erised reflection as canon. Wasn't James 22 or 23 when he died? Doesn't look like a 23 year old in this picture...



This can be explained by the mirror reflecting what Harry wants (parents who would be as aged as if they didn't die), but the picture we see of James/Lily also shows them much older looking than they should be. James was supposed to have black hair like Harry's, while his mother had dark red hair. I'm assuming that's (from left to right) Sirius, James, Peter. Where's Remus? Well I found this, and he does give off that creepy "To Catch A Predator" vibe that he gives off as an adult in PoA:



As was said before, it seems like Snape would be the one beating up James, not the other way around. James was supposed to be this big hotshot jock, but he looks like, for lack of a better word, a nerd. That James isn't bullying anybody.

And Holy Fuck, Tonks can look like anything/anyone she wants and she chose that? I shudder to think what she'll look like with that bubblegum pink hair she wears.

Okay... Definitely not seeing the movie now. The pictures. They burn my eyes.

 

On the matter of Bellatrix

I'm pretty sure they cast Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix, unless that has changed. I doubt it though, because they have already started filming, so they would have had to change the actress along time ago.

At least, Carter was Bellatrix last time I checked.

 

You have to remember that the movies are only based on the books. Harry's eyes are blue in them, for Christ's sake! Don't get me wrong, I still hate them with a burning passion that I usually reserve for emofags, but I can honestly say that I wasn't surprised at all that they fucked up the cast; my expectations were already rock-bottom.

Also, I know it's an act of sacrilege, but I have to say it: Snape actually looks like someone who I might want to hang out with. We know he's smart, and he obviously has issues, so at the very least it would be fun to match wits on a regular basis.

Finally, I really don't think Tonks looks all that bad. For one thing, the picture itself sucks. She looks like she got surprised by the camera. Basically, I reserve judgment until I see some footage.

 

Since we seem to be separated by a common language, I'll unnecessarily point out that it was Helena Bonham Carter who played Marla Singer in Fight Club and is also playing Bellatrix Lestrange.

No idea how she's going to look in the role but she can definitely pull off hot and batshit insane. And both at the same time.

I remember seeing a trailer for the movie somewhere (can't remember where) that had a two second clip of her. I'm not sure if it's that same person as you said, because I didn't get a good look, but I will say this: she looked absolutely deranged, and I mean in a very good way.

I thought that Marla Singer was an actress, not the character. Everything makes sense now.

And I remember seeing a picture of her as Bellatrix - she has that whole post-Azkaban/crazy psycho-bitch thing down.

 

If it helps garner interests in shit other than H/G, then I'm happy.

Though, of course, this also means that we'll have more thirteen year olds writing H/Bella.

 

As repulsive as the average 13-year-old I-think-I-comprehend-emotions-like-a-grownup romance fanfic is, at least it's not another H/Ginslut fic. We can educate the ignorant (aforementioned 13 y.o.), but fucking stupid is so much harder to work with.

 

Hate to echo so many people, but FUCK... I'm disappointed. Why is young Snape not repulsive? I thought he was supposed to be a disfigured, ugly little prick. Rather than just ugly.

 

Because the only characters that the casting director didn't fuck up on was Richard Harris for Dumbledore (not to take away from Michael Gambon performance), and Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood. Besides, I can't remember where it said that Snape was like that in his younger days. *God help me because I can't believe that I just typed that, defending Snape.*

 

They made Tonks look like a crack whore .

Snape looks like a creepy, emo kid who worships rats. They were pretty accurate with his pic.

On a side note, I really hope they don't mess up Bella's character. She's definitely my favorite female antagonist.
