On the matter of Dracula, I have to say that I enjoyed the series much more than I thought I would. The first two episodes were Gatiss and Moffat at their enigmatic best, and Claes Bang was bang-on as the titular character. He captured the slightly hammy energy that I always want to see in a Dracula interpretation to perfection, and mixed it well with the appropriately threatening and charming traits.

The third one… eh, they lost me a little bit there. Not necessarily because of the obvious bit, but rather because I felt the script was meandering along with much less focus than before. The need to cram so many new characters and plot lines into what is essentially the final arc of a three-chapter story really hurt the coherence of the plot, and I got the sense that they bit off more than they could chew. The ending was quite well done, though.

All in all, an 8/10 for me. (Episodes 1 & 2 get a 9/10 each, while Episode 3 gets a 6.5/10, rounded up to 7/10.)

    Finished Dracula.

I have to agree with a lot of Nevermind's review. It had a strong start and middle, but the ending was weak. Honestly, I'd have preferred they keep the first two episodes entirely in the past. Or go back even further to Dracula's origin or something.

Also, Agatha/Zeo was way too much of a Mary Sue imo.

It's just Moffat doing Moffat things.

Good atmosphere, great buildup and than a compleat faceplant when it comes to paying it off.

Even the his awesome Dr Who episodes Blink/Girl in the Fireplace/Empty Child had rather weak endings.

    Amazon LOTR Cast.

Lead is playing Beldor. There is no one I know by that name in LOTR lore.

The show is reportedly not allowed to touch anything in the Third Age or the Silmarillion. Going second age supposedly.

If it's going second age, then I see one of two possibilities. It'll either be the Last Alliance or the Fall of Numenor.

    I'm betting on the latter.

Fall of Numenor lends itself to a better TV series, in my opinion. The Last Alliance is more of a film thing.

Something just happened in Crisis on Infinite Earths part 4!!!!!!

Barry meets Esra Miller's Barry in a scene that they kept quite about. That's right, the CWverse and the DCEU are all in the same multiverse!

I've liked some of the crossovers in CWverse so hopefully, the shitty parts of DCEU can get dragged up by that, conversely though a lot of CW is quite shit though so idk how I'd feel about that.

Thank god they're going with a season rather than a single movie.

Wonder if it will overlap at all into RotS or if it will just be like Rogue One where it ends immediately before it.

Nice to see they're going with a slightly darker tone.

This trailer looks sleek as hell. I tried Clone Wars before and I think I stopped midway through S2, I just didn't really dig the short anthology stories, Kenobi's trolling probably kept me watching longer than I would otherwise. Does the show become more plotted in later seasons or does it stick to one-off stories? Would I be lost trying to watch the new season without having watched the previous ones?

    ....

Why is the mortis arc only an honorable mention? That arc has the most far reaching implications for star wars in the whole series....

That img is an old rec list from before the lore team went balls deep on Mortis mythos.

Also... fuck yes that trailer. I really like how they've tweaked Ahsoka's appearence to make her look like she's halfway between her season 5 model and her rebels model.

They did a pretty decent job of ageing her up over the course of CW, but that is just some goddamn glorious dedication to detail.

Word on the street is that it will end literally minutes before Revenge starts.

Yeah, I've had this saved on my imgur favorites for years now, and I really haven't looked to see if there's a more current one really. Still suits me just fine. We're going to blow through the essential episodes in the next few weeks while eating dinner every night in preparation for the new season. I am unbelievably hyped right now, such a great time to be a fan.

Hi, guys so I'm pretty sick at the moment and more or less bed ridden for probably the entire week.

Could anyone please recommend any new or underrated shows I could watch to pass the time?
I've pretty much watched most mainstream stuff, So I would appreciate recommendations on shows that aren't that well known, or American.

Thanks in advance for any and all recommendations.
