It's a broken mess that isn't entertaining at all.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. It's like someone had an idea for yet another war game, sketched out a vague outline, and then handed it to the D team of a game studio who took the outline to be the final product and did the entire thing after lunch on a Friday. They then sent it up to the boss who said "yeah fuck it, good enough, gamers will lap this Call of Battlefield shit up" and sent it to be sold without bothering to beta test it. Worst $5 I ever spent.

Didn't think anything in existence could make me hate people more, until the 2016 election.

ET is probably the winner, if only for the impact it had, but Superman 64 also deserves a mention.

ET didn't technically destroy Atari, but it certainly made a big difference. Honestly, Atari failing helped lead to Nintendo being able to hone in on the industry and dominate. There are plenty of garbage games out there, but Superman 64 is both impossible to play and so buggy it's impossible to beat. That's a great choice.

You take that back you dirty rotten scoundrel. That game, along with 1 and 3, were staples of my childhood sitting in the living room with my family. Sure, it's not actually a Mario game at its base, but I still have fond memories. The real SMB2 is equally appreciable even though I discovered it later on.

I'm actually not sure off the top of my head what game I'd nominate for the Worst Ever.

Is this said as a league player and thus an inside joke for which I can heartily put my arm around your shoulder and say, yes, indeed, it's such a toxic shitfest, man, I've never seen the like; or is this said as an outsider, in the case of which I would be mortally offended that anyone could believe a team game with such splendid effects on social cohesion is a bad thing, and we'd inevitably end up in a bout of fisticuffs?

As for the worst game I played . . . I do believe Gothic Arcanium, Gothic 4 only in name, has that dubious honor. What happened to my beloved franchise there is beyond disgusting.

To answer this, I'd say my most disappointing game I've ever played was Dragon Age 2. It wasn't the worst video game, but definitely most disappointing.

I've got to give worst to Superman 64.

I wouldn't envy any game the task of trying to follow up Origins.

Release day No Man's Sky was functional, kind of empty but functional. The bar at the moment is set at Superman 64 which is... not. ET only gets honorable mention for how truly awful it was. Plus it was involved in the video game crash back in the day.

My vote is for the evil travesty of software calling itself "edutainment" that my dad got me instead of the game I actually asked for on my birthday.

Gee, a fucking frog that can do maths. Thanks, dad.
