We did once in a high-profile game about a year and a half back. Additionally, I've spectated a couple of his other games.

(I was mafia, he was town)

Think you dropped some tags there, MP7 :B

Mm, so I originally thought 266 ("If 'one of them' is fonti, I'm in") was unduly aggressive too but now I don't actually read it as super aggressive, because the alternative option that she's against is Umami herself dying, and Umami's tonally seemed very self-preserving (see: her super early post to tom about being glad he swapped off her in RVS)

I think what I dislike most about Umami's play right now, in the moment, is how un-urgent it seems. Her post responding to me didn't feel as though she's trying to figure out who she wants to die instead of Waco. Which I guess could be a function of not being caught up, and you could probably describe Miner that way too, but he's seemed to snap back against tom a bit and came out swinging against fire (even if fire is ~an easy target for not being here, low posting, etc.) and grape.

Like, Umami's villageriness to me in the moment comes in the obliqueness of, for example, her Waco read, which just comes out of left field, when Waco's never getting lunched. It's like, what's the plan here if she is mafia? There seems to be some thought behind it where she's just weighing these "either-or" worlds. But she's constantly doing that, and never really coming down anywhere.

Yeah, we played in the MU Champs finale in 2018. He was scum, I was town, and town got absolutely destroyed. It still haunts my memory.

Well, my big takeaway is that I somehow showed incredible poise. Not how I would describe my gam
I need to start thinking of people in pairs instead of in isolation. I guess I could see tom/waco. Really not sure about grape. Sorry, I forgot who said this, but someone said they predict there is 1 active wolf and then 2 people coasting. I'm leaning toward this as well and waco could be one of the coasters. In terms of active wolf, it could be gemma/miner like everyone thinks, in which case I think all of her scummates would have bailed to not go down with the sinking ship. There are prob several contenders for active wolf if gemma is town--I would say tom is one of them.

I need to look back at grape but still not caught up. I honestly skipped around the don quixote stuff and just ignored it, but I should probably actually try to process it

He will continue to not help his case as you continue to catch up.
    Lets make him try.

I understand because I felt rather underwhelmed by Miner for the most part, although at least he had some semblance of urgency.

Working on a speed-Umami iso, btw.

Current prognosis is wouldn't not lynch there.

Umami's play right now doesn't really pattern-match a Miner partner, imo

Oh fuck yeah, crosspost. Yeah, I agree with that for sure.

Otherwise, I appreciate the comments on #266 and villageriness. I'm still thinking through it all. I actually am doing some serious consideration that she and Miner are both scum and in that case her Waco read is out of... desperation, I suppose?

Awesome, can't wait to hear more.

Why do you think that, because she's in catch-up mode?

Alright, Fluff, talk to me. Why do you like Miner more than Umami?

Doubt I'll be able to write a wall on it, mostly like "posts aren't inspiring".

    Time, essence, all that.

Also, I don't like this post. It's player salad blah.

It's not that I like Miner, it's that Umami's sheer refusal to commit to a read is very gross.

Also, that was the exact general feel ("posts aren't inspiring") was getting from her ISO for a while, then I stepped away, and then I came back and tried to trace progressions and that's when things started bothering me more.

So if she's scum with Miner, she comes back to an EOD where she's being CFDed against her partner, and she's un-urgent, catching up rather than just realtiming and trying to survive or push the votes somewhere else? I don't really see how it maps onto w/w, could you explain?

Dude, it was a joke (#266), like if someone is about to get murdered, please don't let it be me
