I only watched three episodes and checked what happened in the rest. I will probably finish it someday, but can't say when.

On the paper this season should work with its themes of the big data and controlling of the populace, but it lacks this something that made the first season special and the second somehow good. One half of it is Anthony Hopkins and the other half is a lot better screenplays.

The third half of it is Jon Nolan abandoning the story of the dawn of AI for a poor rehash of POI where the AI that was the focus of the first 2 seasons isn't special anymore because there's a Machine God running the planet.

I dislike when the show cheapens their earlier and better seasons by twists that retcon its setting and undermine its themes.

HBO canned the show. I gues Jon Nolan will have to pitch his next "rise of AI, great start, crap ending" show to Fox.

The Peripheral on Amazon Prime is his newest venture. I believe it's based on the William Gibson book. I've enjoyed the first few episodes so far.
