There are those who like moving their mice long distances, and there are those who move them in tiny increments. Which are you?

I have my DPI set to 8000. I can't stand anything much lower anymore. It feels strange to have to move my wrist more than 2cm when I'm using my computer. Not a huge gamer, though.

At 5600 DPI it is pretty fast but I think I wouldn't mind upgrading to 8000 or something like that in the future either, the less you have to move your hand the better I think.

I run at 2800 dpi. It's nice and comfortable for me; anything faster feels way too imprecise, and anything slower is just obnoxious, so that's what I use.

    400 dpi; don't @ me

Edit: My sens is calibrated around my settings for fps games. 28cm/360°

Currently running at 8000. It takes getting used to but I like it; a lot less arm and wrist movement to get the mouse where I want it to go.

800 dpi, pretty standard for fps games

When I'm in an FPS game it's around 600 dpi. When I'm playing DOTA it's around 1800 dpi. When I'm doing anything else it's around 5000 dpi.

Any reasoning behind lowering it for Dota? I find that higher mouse speeds actually help me quite a bit in MOBA/RTS games.

I play a lot of heroes that require some amount of precise mouse clicking: Windranger, Invoker, Shadow Fiend and Pudge are my four most played heroes, and also a lot of micro heroes like Visage. When you need both timing and accuracy, I find that lower dpi helps a lot.

That being said, when I played other heroes while starting out, I had no issues using my normal mouse sens (~5000 dpi).

I have several settings depending on what I do.

    400dpi (photoshop, careful motions)
    1200dpi (FPS)
    1600dpi (Standard/Moba)
3200dpi (Never use it, but its there)

Something like 8000 apparently. Mouse cursor goes across my whole monitor in like a quarter of an inch.

Even in my FPS days I never invested a lot into peripheral PC hardware, used some random mouse I didn't even know the specs for. The thing was with me for a good decade before it died. I currently use a Tracer Blaster X RF nano, which I chose because it was relatively cheap and wireless, so perfect for my laptop. It has 3 settings, I use the max at 1600. I think I would like a faster mouse in the future but probably not too much faster, maybe twice what I have currently at most. When y'all talk about flying across the screen in a quarter inch, that's way too imprecise for me.

It takes some getting used to but it's still pretty precise once you do.

    3000.

I can get used to many settings, as I usually change depending on the mouse.
But those plebs with 800 DPI.. *shutters*

How do you check/change mouse speed (my PC is running Windows)? I've honestly never heard of this before but I don't game that much.

Best to look up your mouse specs on the manufacturer's website. You'd have to be rocking some ancient undercity rat for it to not have some degree of adjustable dpi.

Your poll is scuffed, the thresholds should be ,999 or ,001 instead of overlapping 1k increments.
