I don't see Fonti as the type of person who would be at all susceptible to pocket attempts from scum, so if Rubi has known her for 10 years I imagine he would not think that was a plan worth going for. I'll also stand up for Rubi on the "townreading Fonti for one question" thing, since I had the same reaction.

 

Gemma always sounds annoyed or grumpy at first. I think it’s just the way she’s trying to be matter-of-fact and keep the game from getting too fluffy. Maybe.

Her Rubicon case/read is interesting and I might comment on it after work. I’m really glad Dels responded and did that breakdown so my brain could get twice the saturation.

I don't like the cut of his jib. First few posts are just undercutting others without substance. Throwing doubt this way and that and stifling momentum. D1 data is our friend....so to try and kill the steam building is scummy.

The questions he does ask are softbally "have any town reads?" and just filler this early on.

I actually had the same feeling at the time-- you started out the game with very little original content, mostly tossing out questions at people without providing much of any follow-up. That's what prompted me to ask you about your reads initially, and something I've since resolved for the most part after reading your subsequent posts.

Reading back, I think I understand what you mean? If you're grilling rubicon on what his case was as of post 35, the answer "I didn't like the lack of content in your early posts" doesn't hold water. That said, I assume he's answering from a larger perspective and in that context this line of thought seems like a stretch.
