I feel more sure on you, going into today, because you called the scumkill out as something specifically done to stop Reg from replacing in. I don't think it was that, unless fluff was scum, because it only delays Reg replacing in to a different slot. If fluff was scum though and planned to replace out, the kill could have been done to get Reg on the mafia team instead of town's side. Reg's scum game isn't great though, iirc, so I'm not sure if the team would actually want that.

I want to townread you reaching out to me here, but I think it's something you would do as either alignment to help me feel better.

I'm frustrated with Von, and I'm moderately suspicious now because the case of expecting me to control eod sucks, but it something I've also come to expect from him and I don't think it should outweigh his commitment to the game and the speech he gave about it being no wonder scum rolls here are so hard for him. I don't think it ever occurs to him to talk about that as scum.

I feel more comfortable townreading Dels, mostly because Reg backed it up, but also because of the bit about feeling unreasonable for voting me.

I feel less comfortable townreading the fluff slot. I don't know, the meta feels outdated, and I think I need to run through his iso again. But the townreads on me and tom specifically I don't think come from a scum!fluff? Like, those aren't the kind of reads scum!fluff ever thinks town will expect him to have, so why make them, unless they're real? It's very, very different from how he treated Cobalt in the thing game, where the issue was his tmi knowledge of Cobalt being town.

I don't know about Rubicon. I could remove him from my townreads. He's hard to read at the best of times, and this is not the best of times.

I feel most comfortable with my townread on Cuth. It felt like he was in the same place as me enough, especially when we were talking to Wisp. If I have to latch onto one read to try to build on, it's going to be that one.

I don't understand your expectations. You said the confusion at eod was my fault, but if I don't have a scumread to kill, I can't direct people to kill them. I don't see how I can be blamed for the every single town failing to come up with a compelling case. And I don't see how you can seriously expect to solve the game without help. I'm not a machine, I can't find scumslips every time, especially when no one is trying to help. The case against Wisp blew, the case against Cobalt was just what I wrote, and it was eh at best, and the only other real case was against Ampharos, and there was no way to get enough votes to yeet her when she just replaced in, and frankly I didn't even really want to, because if she is town she'll probably be able to show it.

This game feels bad because people aren't casing, or the cases themselves are bad, and it doesn't feel like anyone really believes they've found scum anywhere. It's just pages and pages of banter and questions that lead nowhere. I can't work with nothing.

 

The sub out stuff is not something I'm going touch, and I'm just going to assume there was no foul play there. I had a weak ish townread on fluff, I think yours was stronger but we more or less were seeing the same things from him.

Dels is a difficult read for me to pin down, I've been feeling for most of the game like I want to townread him but when I try to think of anything in particular that pronounces that read there's not really any post or sequence or read that does it for me. I think my read on him is also muddied because he's the only person to pocket me in like, 2 years now? I'm fine waiting for Regfan to talk about him to start thinking more seriously about the slot and going back over his posts and stuff. (ISOing has become a real chore since the thing broke.)

I wasn't aware you were townreading Rubicon. I'd like to hear anything you have to say about him, I have problems with him but I'm also having a super hard time figuring out his baseline and getting a read on his personality so I don't really have a lens through which to read him.

We should focus on going over Cuth? I don't agree with you on him unfortunately, I don't townread him personally and my read on him feels really murky, like his treatment of Wisp was very empathetic, but when I try to translate that level of empathy into a village read I get radio static.

 

I think with Cuth, the timing matters. Like he started scumreading Wisp at the same time I did. then he unvoted and got emphatic with him at the same point in time I was really doubting the scumread on him.

I'm going to postpone talking about Rubicon until tomorrow. I don't processing things well enough right now to really think about him. I posted something in 640 about him, if you want to go back and look at it.

I would like to read one of Dels' scumgames at some point. Could you link me to the one where he pocketed you? Also, if you have an idea about how his scum and town games differ, can you talk about that?

I'm glad you're also seeing the stuff from fluff. Makes me feel less like I'm losing my mind here.
