I do think fluff's focus on Vaimes could have just been ... not busywork exactly, but a way to be involved in the thread without actually doing anything.

But Reg only posting one read and dipping is probably a good sign, since he was following the thread before replacing in and would have had a lot of genuine thoughts to post about even if he did roll scum. As scum, he probably would have used those to make a more compelling open post.

I can link you the game if you want me, but I'd encourage you not to dwell on it because it isn't really relevant to his one. The reason I townread him was because of his WIM, which was unbelieveable and the most WIM I've ever seen from a wolf to this day (closely rivalled by only Eido), and he's not the same player in this game for a bunch of reasons, so the meta or anything else isn't really going to translate.

My intial thought was that him not townreading me was a good thing, but ultimately I think it's too close to him being no alignment as an observer for anything to really be indicative.

And uh, I'll go over fluff again to try to see what you mean.

    Vote: Cobalt

Wow, this is like a 3/10 on the Cobalt scale.

Does Cobalt shoot Akina? Eh. I mean, I guess he doesn't shoot me because he'd feel like that would look bad for him. And he's made weird shots before. The kill feels more like something people under no suspicion do. Meh.

Actually, Waco probably doesn't shoot Akina, since he invited them.

So my issue with it was like, he was throwing down a lot of words to ostensibly try to work with Wisp, but it didn't feel like he was really going anywhere with it, and the stuff he was trying to talk with Wisp about felt either inconsequential or unresolvable, as in the kind of thing you can talk about for hours and not end up anywhere closer to a resolution. I don't see that as wolfy, to be clear, I'm just struggling to get a townread off those interactions because I'm struggling to get in Cuth's head there. Do you think that's an unfair interpretation, am I missing some perspective here or anything else?

I second this question for @Cobalt.

Your fonti read is a little unexpected to me, so even though I agree with your conclusion I’d like to know how you got there.

Let's talk about this, actually. I gave a case on Cobalt Yesterday, it's that he was underwhelming and didn't actually care about the Joat plan. That's not a great case, but it would usually be a good enough reason for people to vote him, and I think the absence of that is very weird.

Honestly, going through fluff's ISO I don't think I can sustain even a weak townread on him.

I can go over it again. I think a lot of it was him trying to figure out Wisp's stance on me and find out where discrepancy between how Wisp viewed me and he knew I viewed Wisp was. I think you might have been missing some of the context of that from when we were discussing it in team chat, yeah, since you weren't involved in that particular discussion, but it made a lot of sense to me as something both Cuth and I wanted to figure out.

Hey @Rubicon, provide actual reasons, please, both for your vote on me and your apparent agreement with the Cobalt push, because right now you look like a partner trying to distance.

That's fine, I think. We have Reg to read now, and with any luck he'll be town and come in and post something super compelling.

I expected people to vote Cobalt with me at eod, because the Wisp vote was pretty obviously feeling bad and Cobalt himself didn't seem good. I don't like that no one jumped in with me, and I'm not sure if that's a deficiency on my end, or if it's because Cobalt is scum.

My reaction that the kill is unlike fonti is based on it being a DLP newbie - it’s anti-fun to shoot people before they post as a new member and she already made a point of refusing to vote that slot D1, presumably for that reason.

However if the team was confident that the slot was being replaced it’s a different story and makes more sense from any strong, well positioned team (like you said).

I’ll talk more about my fonti read after Cobalt posts his but in general it’s that her end of day was performative and about positioning herself / influencing the town into greater chaos versus using the end of day pressure, claims and CFDs to build better reads - which is what I think she would do as town.

Anyway, I thought your reaction to the kill was also interesting because your tone and emotions seem very different compared to other players I think are town.

Basically Amy was all “WeirdChamp” and you were struggling to contain your “Poggers” over what a brilliant move it was (despite making it harder for town to win).

I felt weird about the Cobalt wagon too, but I went the other way with it. It's possible we were sensing the same thing but interpreting it differently.
