It was pretty towny. He didnt really have an agenda, which doesnt mean much since we were already misyeeting, but he still spent eod engaging and pressuring instead just being present and not responsible for it

My readlist right now probably looks something like this:

    fonti
    Dels
    Vaimes
    Cuth
    Sloth
    The Waco Kid
    tom
    fluff
    TerRaine
    Ampharos
    Cobalt
    Rubicon

But uh, I don't really feel good about really any of it, aside from fonti town, and Rubicon at the bottom is like, 10 or 15 below at most, so.

I think I disagree with this, though.

Also, I can't help but notice the top is weighted kinda heavy towards "I like you" and the bottom is mostly "who are you," so, that's probably a thing...

Are you the type of player to ever make big picture reads posts where you go over your world view and how you're seeing the game / your reads and such?

Got maybe 10 minutes now while in the car, but will be here catching up properly in about 5ish hours.

Just some off the cuff thoughts that I want to get down for now is:

I was nodding along and agreeing with Fontis reasoning behind town reading Cuth but he's probably someone I want to really spend some time looking at today, feel like that night kill makes sense more from his position in the thread specifically.

I didn't have Gemma as town at all throughout D1 or Reading through the game, was tinfoiling Cobalt/Gemma as a world that made sense but I'm fairly sure her play from what I've skimmed of her today is her as town, think it makes a lot more sense from Town!Gemma exciting I'm playing now and ready to start actually playing this game vs Scum!Gemma that attempted to make a shot keeping me out of the game, and then seeing me still come in.

@Gemma - I don't really see or share your Rubicom scum read and think that some of your issues with him are more playstyle based for him than alignment indicative stuff. If you get time before I get back I'd you can put your thoughts on him down in one post I'll read up / read your post and we can discuss it there.

I actually think Toms reasoning on coming into the thread really hard and fast disagreeing with a lot of consensus and then coming back around with fairly uhh consensus-y stuff is really bad, especially when I thought game state read really just directionless other than a fairly consistent wagon on Wisp yesterday. And thought Wisps second half of D1 and especially EOD stuff was really town. So yeah defs want to look at Amy too.

Only once I get to the point of wanting to convince others to agree with me.

Right now I’m kind of just following my own thoughts.

Would you be able to explain your fonti townread in a way that doesn’t reference your shared meta or how you think she would interact with you?

If you’ve already done this just let me know, I’m phoneposting.

I can see it, but she replaced Para. Do you have any read on Para’s D1 posts?

Is why I'm thinking about why he isn't dead more than others.

I would totally make that shot, though. It's a smart shot and I'm a smart person. You heard it here first.

I don't know if I'd call it a scumread, but sure I can do that in a bit.

Yes, I think the way she came into today feeling clearly super dejected and not okay was town, both because she has no reason to feel that way as mafia and because I think baseline her feeling and expressing herself in emotionally difficult ways through her posts is a town thing. I think the way she responded with exhaustion to the people pushing on her is an extension of that. I think the way her dejectedness moved into a kind of relief as she responded to my interacting with her, and to a lesser extent to Regfan replacing in, reads as genuine and reinforces the above. I think all the thoughts she presented to me in our interaction earlier read as genuine and I didn't get the sense she was lying or faking anything, in short that she was being herself, which I read as a town thing.

Okay, that makes sense from your point of view. I think fontisian is the sort of person who would absolutely fake being dejected about feeling lost in the game in order to explain away not catching any wolves. In fact I think she basically has to use that approach at some point, because DLP expects her to find wolves due to her skill and extensive meta knowledge of other players.

It’s also not really warranted here from a town point of view, because her results haven’t been that much worse than anyone else yet and it’s early and there’s a huge amount to analyze. But, it does make sense as a tactic.

I realize this will come across as callous if she really is upset, and I don’t like going there - but frankly I just think this is within her wolf meta and I want to explain why I’m not able to agree with your read at the moment.

The bolder section is more plausible to me and I’ll look at it more tomorrow.
