Here's a question: If Wisp is a v (we know he was), do wolves have a reason to start piling onto a v!Waco there? To me, the thread was reading like Wisp was going to be the yeet. I basically said as much at the time, and I apologize because my attempts to not have the day just be a default wagon were half-hearted and I regret that especially after the flip, but. The point is, what's the motivation for wolves to go on Waco there?

It doesn't help anyone for me to be wishy-washy, it's just a useless post. And I've been trying to make a real effort at cutting down on useless posts.

There are two Dels. One Dels dives deep into the game and doesn't come up for air until he's dead or the game's over. The other Dels strolls along the beach, kicking sand into the tide as the sunset goes down before he returns home for the night. You are playing with the second Dels.

    @Gemma

    Are either of these alignment-indicative?

Maybe. I also feel like Cobalt's an easy place for wolves to jump on if they don't want to be on the Wisp wagon, which was souring, so, why didn't they? I guess this is mixed with a general disappointed feeling in town. Cobalt being underwhelming should absolutely be enough reason to vote him. He has a very polarized meta, and is currently on the wrong side of it.

Can you talk more about why?

Cobalt instead of telling us that your lack of town energy isn't alignment indicative, do you have a tom case or potential partners or something? What you lack in sass you'll have to make up with cold hard facts.

But if they're partners this distancing is so horrible. I want to say it's not a thing.

I feel like this is such a bad read on me that it's maybe more likely to come from town!Rubicon? Like, he has to know that this doesn't make sense, surely as scum he'd flesh out the link between me and Cobalt more? Would appreciate thoughts on this.

To clarify - I think you're probably a wolf regardless of Cobalt's alignment, and I think it's also possible he's a wolf too.

What do you think of Waco's case on tom?

Fluff was not a slot I had any particularly strong reason to townread, and I'm seeing no reason to scumread Reg yet so I'm happy to sort him as town, both "tentatively" and with no major thoughts on if it'll change in the future atm. Only thing I slightly find weird was the number of associative reads, groupings, "0-1 wolves in" etc stuff, but I'm gathering from Gemma this is his playstyle, and if someone else confirms that, then we're gucci. I'm not townreading Reg just for making lots of smart/wordy posts though, I think his approach comes across very natural. The first thing he seems to have locked into was a townread on Gemma, which makes total sense. Gemma was someone I was mostly just assuming was town yesterday, but today she's stepped up even more and is just being the game's prime detective, working together with Reg, and him coming together with her felt natural. I've also just otherwise liked where his reads are coming from.

Also about Reg tangentially, I'm agreeing with him on Rubi right now. I did some rereading expecting to vote Rubi, but I came out of it just being more able to see Rubi as a townie who is doing their own thing without any showi-ness, and is being assertive and straightforward due to that just being his playstyle. I very nearly was going to sheep Gemma's 1064 , then Reg response (2 posts later) kept me off, particularly the Rubi posts he quotes in there was one I liked and felt was representative of Rubi's attitude all game. I also liked Rubi's 1059 today. I don't know if Fonti is scum or not but the way Rubi is handling it feels similarly to how I'm looking at it. I'm far from locking Rubi in as town, but I don't think it's where I want to go today.

About Fonti - I don't really wanna dwell on like "Should she have solved the game by now" because I feel that's unfair and it's not really about that. I've said what I felt about her EoD stances and mindset. Something I noticed on looking back is I feel Fonti really moved from that "incisive questioning" style that we talked about early, to giving a lot more decisive reads. I wonder if that's a scum thing. I feel even today her solving has been a lot more in attempting to sort out a worldview on her own rather than get info from drilling people. That said, I really don't want the day to just become about Fonti, I'm annoyed about doing that with Wisp yesterday and I definitely don't feel anywhere nearly as strong about Fonti. I don't think her responses today have to be town, that said, Gemma and Regfan are getting good vibes from her and I'm okay giving her space for now.

    I'm going to go with:

    Vote: Tom

This is... partially just a PoE thing? Partially just agreeing with others that Tom's posts aren't towny. What Waco posted above seems like a good case to me as well and I'm happy to follow it. And also just, this is where I'm landing after taking in what my townread's concensus views on the game seem to be, combined with my own.

However, I did reread EoD a bit and:

@Ampharos Why should I read your omgus vote on Tom as different than the omgus you did in Mountainado?

Beyond that, I'm kind of in a place where, like I said yesterday, maybe Fonti is scum, maybe she's not, but if she's not, her PoE might be correct. Cobalt and Amy are not people I particularly scumread but I agree with a lot of the townreads she had and I think it's possible that we've just got some combination of Cobalt/Amy being scum after all and we might just catch them because "Sorry, DLP is hard"

But I'll be around on and off tonight and I'll see if that changes.

Okay but who keeps asserting this? Has any one single person said or thought this?

I'd agree with that. Think it'd be very hard for a wolf to look at you/Cobalt and think "this seems like w/w" is a townie thought. Partially just on the basic theory that, like, wolves are much more likely to have level 1 thoughts and just be like "i'm assuming i should be reading that as not-w/w", while a townie is more likely to think weird stuff.

Unfortunately, Cobalt and Amy likely aren't scum together, since the Para townread was Cobalt's first read of the game.
