That said, do I think the quality of my fonti read is sheepable this game? Probably not, I have my doubts about her. But my read is what it is.

re. Fonti, I feel bad that I'm "overturning" Gemma's read here, but I'm also not... getting a strong sense from Gemma's read. Like, if Gemma gave a "hard veto" "I'm certain about this", I would trust it, 100%. But she's not giving that. And I also, urgh, I don't want to put her in a place where I make her do if she doesn't want to, and I don't want her to think this post is a request for that, because it's not.

I'm just getting the vibe that Fonti is a wolf, and I'm getting the vibe that others are getting that vibe as well. I don't think her posts have been bad today. I think she's had a perfectly reasonable response to everything and her play isn't overtly wolfy. But that doesn't have to mean she's not a wolf. The game just makes the most to me if she is one, because I have enough people elsewhere that I'm townreading. I also don't really like her push on Amy, I just don't agree with the statements she's making about Amy's meta.

Tom would be my second choice as of right now. He basically "picked up" right when he, y'know, said he would and got all "oh, do you want me to be townie, see, i can make jokes", but I don't think it's enough for me to move him anywhere above "null, can be wolf". I don't have a case, but I think everything Sloth/Waco/Cobalt has said makes sense.

    Vote: Fonti

I don't have any major objections to any of the candidates, but I wouldn't do Cobalt or Amy. I'm gonna go read back through TerRaine/Jari a bit though.

Yeahhhh, this is kind of the vibe I got too, that it felt like her sort of herding the lynch towards Amy, and just not enough elsewhere in players/areas I think she should have been looking at. She's going to get to it now so looking forward to reading it from her soon. I agree with the underlined completely, after having spec'ed Amy most recent game none of what Fontis saying about the comparison of her / Amy is something I get at all.

Definitely, I think Cuth is at least double more likely to be scum here than Amy tbqh.
I'm not sure your reasoning on Amy!Town really sways me much, but I do get your thoughts on their catch up stuff today.

I dunno. I feel like scum would try to give a reason for joining the Wisp wagon. Level 1 vs level 2, but I think scum generally try to show progressions. She moves onto Waco soon after this as well with no reason and basically gets on his case for answering a question late.

That's... almost all there is. A slight Fonti call out later.

I dunno. I guess there's nothing clearing here now that we're further in to the game.

Jaris's sub in is like... voting Sloth. Pushing Cobalt. And then basically having the same PoE as consensus except with Sloth in it. I need to hear from Jari about he suspects Sloth so much, otherwise I can't make much of this. If scum, it's a relatively "safe" entrance with pushing just one non-concensus thing that likely won't go anywhere. I'd ask "why take that angle as scum" but it's not even that outrageous. Meh.

Cuth and Amy's posts are sort of frustrating because, like, it's not just that it's "stuck in the past", but also that it's very... individual. And I feel like we're sort of past that. I do appreciate the cases people are making, but when I'm thinking about the game now, I'm mostly trying to think, like, "What makes this game make sense". Not in an associative way, just in a, like, what's happening here? Amy is a key part of that because I'm still operating with a level 1 read that she likely isn't with Tom or Fonti, but I also don't start with the assumption that Fonti and Tom are scum together.

individual as in they are posting reads on one player at a time, not in relation to others. i'm not big into assocatives per se, more so just about the gamestate as a whole.

I am assuming your post and the taking of a walk are unrelated, with the only potential connection being you said words about the game and he needs to think about them because the game is hard.

    Okay.

So what's the discrepancy between Amy's meta and fonti's statements about her if you feel like explaining that? I know nothing of Amy.

Every page that actually loads is a blessing from on high. I've done away with backreading for now and am trying to just evaluate things that have happened since I posted last.

Fonti: your meta read of me is unfair for a variety of reasons that I can't really get into, which is the crux of why it's unfair lol.

Furthermore: if you'll recall, I pulled off Wisp, yeah? I tried to vote tom there - not that I really had time to give a great case on him, but I was at least willing to go there over Wisp. I mostly piled back on because frankly I didn't know where else to go to get any dunk through - and honestly I still thought Wisp was a better target than Cobalt, recent towniness aside.

I think I'm willing to let myself believe that tom's just town, which as you can imagine is. Somewhat frustrating.

Should I make a list? I should make a list.

    Confident Town
    Dels
    Vaimes
    Gemma
    Cuthalion

    Regfan goes here
    Regfan

    Less Confident Town
    Sloth
    tom
    ...Cobalt?

    fonti goes here
    Fontisian

    votable
    Jarizok
    Rubicon
    The Waco Kid

I honestly didn't think I had Jari this low when I made this list but... I dunno, I just got really bad vibes from TerRaine's posting when I backread. My experience with her is admittedly limited, but it felt a lot... cagier than I would have expected.

Dels, why does you disagreeing with Tom's initial scumread on Amy mean her Omgusing him is different from the game you're talking about? I'm missing the connecting thought thete.

Fonti thoughts. How do I explain Fonti thoughts.

Fonti is like... I expect to be mindmelding with her much more than I have been. Experience indicates that we'd likely be doing so... but we're not. Problem is, I have no idea if that's a difference induced by environment or playerlist familiarity or even just based off the fact that I subbed in and have been working with incomplete information all game.

I think a lot of the stuff she's been posting is on the level, she's got a lot of thought-out pushes with the fire I expect to be seeing from her, but then there's this push on me, and it really does just feel kind of unfair?

Like sure I grant you I should have been able to keep a better handle on reading Wisp in realtime while I was backreading, that's on me, I don't think it's super weird for you to be scumreading me off of that. But I can't really defend myself on "you should be playing like I expect you to be playing" and it's frustrating that you've made it the primary component of your push.

I don't think I want to vote Fonti? Like I don't think I think she's scum. I think I have sort of a natural tendency to wolfread cases on me that are bad and I think this case on me is... maybe not bad, but a lot of it is really difficult to respond to in any way and I can see a wolf advancing that. But there's not really any evidence for Fonti being a wolf in the rest of her play, IMO. I'm not getting as strongly villagery vibes as I'm getting off my top tier, maybe, but I'm not wolfreading her posting either.

Of course I'm pretty sure the team isn't Jari/Rubi/Waco, so I'm wrong somewhere. C'est la vie. Odds are I'm misclearing someone in "less confident town" unless I'm just being a major dumbass and someone in that top tier is mad deepwolfing me.

This makes sense. Her play imo doesn't feel like her town game and it doesn't feel like her wolf game either.

Honestly, I don't think Fonti really made any statements about what Amy's meta is. I think she made statements about what it isn't.

Partially I just disagree because I'm looking at Amy and not seeing anything particularly out of the ordinary, but also partially I think so many of the things Fonti is saying are influenced by the fact that Amy subbed in and still hasn't caught up.

like, some things fonti has said:

"Her reads are boring and representative of concensus" eh, so are... everyone's? everyone is vibing at this point. but even then, Amy's being mostly doing catch up and giving reads as she does, if she thinks the same things as us, that's fine, i think we're right about most of our townreads and i wouldn't expect amy to come in with anti-concensus stuff?

"and more damningly, she doesn't give a shit about them" Well she's... catching up?

Fonti dislikes that Amy voted Wisp in the end. I dunno, I get why she did. Fonti dislikes Amy's vote on Waco... I don't have strong feelings about that one but I don't see why town Amy wouldn't vote Waco. (And I'll note that is a non-concensus read) She also said Amy is leaving it on Waco, but again, she's... not done catching up? There were over 48 hours left in the day when she voted there and she hasn't even been back since so why would she move it

Idk I just think it's a weak case, and it doesn't really speak to my understanding of Amy or put it in context with Amy's situation in this game
