Was feeling Jari's and to a much lesser degree Cobalt.

 

There's been a fair few of us saying that we've not yeeting Jarizok today, and have raised/explained concerns with you about it. I get it you don't agree with those reasons, but realistically I think you recognise that Cobalt has a higher chance of getting yeeted here than Jarizok. So if you're very against Cuth then moving to Cobalts the play.

 

Wrt the stuff today: the way Jari approached the initial interaction was weird, and I think Cobalt's response was fine given that? It reads as "why should you be a villager" "that's dumb the burden of proof lies on you" "you're way too aggressive" "i'm not overly defensive i just think it's a weird read" "stop being all no u", and then Jari goes off and Makes a Case on Cobalt.

That said, the actual case itself seems reasonable enough, in terms of its criticism of Cobalt's reads, and I can see his points.

Doesn't feel particularly aligned, I guess, but doesn't shift my impressions of either of them very much?

Reg to be honest aside from you, I think (correct me if wrong) most others are open to either Jari or Cobalt, some (tom I think) are even ambivalent towards it.

Also currently cobalt has only one vote and that is Jari, and Jari has several. I know the tide changes in a second, but for now that's what the game looks like and so he's technically more likely.

 

Okay, I've skimmed the best I could.

Vote: Jarizok

I don't love this, it's not really where I wanted the day to end up, but I think the case is better than the one on Cuth and also that with enough townreads elsewhere, Jari could just be scum.

Factors for me:
- I agree with Amy and Sloth that Jari's push on Cobalt makes sense as a scum just pushing the wagon they need to to survive. Assume that any of the rest of the PoE (tom? fonti? amy? cuth?) are either a) jari's wolfbuddies, in which case he can't go for them, or b) townies, in which case they're all just harder targets than cobalt. particularly if cuth is town, since most of the game was townreading him at the time. Jari's focus today just fits a scum agenda, Cuth's doesn't (wrote more below)
- Also having trouble believing Jari's push on Sloth. Keeps saying that Sloth's posts haven't been townie, etc, but I'm not seeing why. I can see it as a scum pet push that won't go anywhere.
- Multiple people saying that Ter's play wasn't actually towny, and the further in we go and the more other people are being towny, it doesn't hold up as much
- The people I've been syncing with the most (Cobalt and Sloth) are here, that's a plus

I think Reg's case against Cuth is... I dunno, I don't really agree with it. I think you're presenting possible scum motivations for a lot of Cuth's actions, and I agree it's not impossible, but I'm not seeing any "this is why Cuth has to be scum". His day 1 posts still look solve-y to me. Even here right now he's contributing opinions on lots of things and you sort of narrowed it to "well he's pushing Jari, the counterwagon" which I don't really think is a fair summary of what he's doing. I think his posts are fine and that he's trying to talk about the whole game best he can, only thing making it scummy (regardless of if he's scum or not) is he was absent for so long and is on the back foot now. If I'm wrong I'll concede you have a better read than me, but I'm gonna stick to my own gut for now if I have to choose between the two.

Oh, and I do not agree that Cuth posting the paranoia about Reg is an attempt to discredit or a "powerwolf tactic". If Cuth's a wolf he'd have absolutely no reason to think that anyone would listen to him there. That's one example of where I think you are ascribing scum motivation where there wouldn't be any.

 

I would vote Cuth if it became Cuth/Cobalt.
