    Now we're doing this again:
Cobalt contends he has caught scumtom multiple times
I contend scumcobalt has never caught me

He said what game it was, i posted quotes that he was townreading me when i died/was surprised when i flipped

    Not only that:
The two posts contain the same overall read
I dont think ill get any argument that nothing has changed... right down to him voting me when he got to 3 votes both days...
    But
The part to which he attached the experience modifier (to add more weight to his read) is attached to a different part

I, tom, a townperson, contend that this is an objectively fake read

    @Cobalt your plea?

Dont boo me i (could easily be) right

Thats the worst part. I said this yesterday, making up a read and attaching some misremembered meta because i always ping him as scum so anytime i am he gets to think he nailed it in retrospect is completely viable

Also im just gonna say this feels exactly like fonti/cobalt in ayaw doing this same thing pushing me til i got yeeted
    Only
    Well
It was me vs scumcobalt and i won and cobalt died first but scumfonti still lynched me but it still feels like if those had happened at the same time

    How is this inconsistent?

Does you disagreeing with a view that was expressed by (at least) fonti, Sloth, regfan and me make fonti saying it suspicious?

I have a very hard time believing you actually believe that was a good, coherent case, and also think Cobalt is town at the same time. What was good about it? How was it coherent?

Can you be more specific about how you’re tying these points together?

    Hi

Gemma wanted to hand it off cause she was done playing but she didn't want to give it to Gemma (the one who was playing day 1) so she gave it to me and I dunno how to play this game! But I can try! At the moment I am sure, there are a lot of words. And people seem to be rather heated. Yes. I definitely have real reads on things, mhm. Anyway, I'll do it later at some point I promise just not right now lol.

I think Regfan is my top townread, right? So I'll just sheep him that seems like a good idea. Also if Cuthalion is town, why isn't he posting to prove himself?

    Vote: Cuthalion

Tom is my most favorite person ever though so I'm on his side, whatever that side is.

The scum motivation if it's v/v wagons is that the town immediately comes into the next day thinking "it looks like Cuth got saved" and yeets Cuth. I guess you could argue though that if Cuth got yeeted yesterday and flipped v, that Jari would still get yeeted anyway though.

I tried to read actual game-related content but it's 5 in the morning and my brain is fried. Taking a rain check, I think.

Fonti prolly just v tom prolly just w Amy prolly just bad for having the right read eod1 and then dropping it for no reason ok bye.

@Rubicon 2229 The inconsistency is that there's no discernible difference to me between someone's reads being "static" and "stubbornly sticks to them", where the former is wolf and the latter is town. I already have trouble getting on board because these seem the same, but then she says he's doing the former and is wolfy for it. But if I had to describe Cobalt this game, it would definitely be the latter? He's getting heat for suspecting tom and fonti but he has definitely been stubbornly sticking to them all game! It's not just static for no reason.

You're right she wasn't the only one who who said Jari's case was "bad but town", but something about the way she concluded that and acted like it was a known universal truth bothered me. It felt overly simplified.

I can think a case is good/coherent and still wrong. The last game I was in, someone wrote a massive case against me, using dozens and dozens of quotes of my entire day 1/2 to show how my progressions were hedgey, came out of nowhere, and were conveniently timed to move votes off a wolf wagon, as I ended the day on a townie in v/w wagons with a weak justification. I called it a fantastic case, and it was. It made perfect sense. But I was town. In this case, afair, Jari's case was primarily based on Cobalt's "static" reads, i.e. suspecting Tom and Fonti consistently, for what is seen as weak reasons. I can see the argument for it. I townread Cobalt despite it because his reads have matched mine and I've felt the same way about those players (and partially his reads helped me feel that way), so I don't have a problem with it.

And to try to be more specific about tying it together, I guess it felt to me like she was giving a surface level view of the situation based on meta "truths" that I am not accepting as truths. Since I can't follow along with either of them, the idea that she came to a conclusion based on those metas strikes me as if she was just using vague statements about meta that don't apply, to justify having a stance.
