    Hey!

I just finished rereading the Denarian series and it's left me with a serious hunger for more decently written crossovers. I've read the one by Ryuugi but other than that I haven't touched the Dresden Files in quite a few years. I stopped right before Skin Game and stopped looking for fanfiction even earlier so anything that has come out in the past half a decade or so is probably new to me. Also interested in just Dresden Files stories, especially ones that may feature the Knights of the Cross heavily. Thanks!

On the off chance you haven't read them yet I've always been partial to Awaken Sleeper by Water Mage. It's really fun and nicely written, if abandoned. There's also the Denarian Trilogy by Shezza, it's a classic, but I haven't re-read it in years so I'm not sure how well it holds up nowadays. Our resident G @TheWiseTomato has one too that's fun.

I just finished rereading the Denarian trilogy which is what actually got me to make this post. I'd say it held up pretty well all things considered, it still has my favorite Dumbledore of all time.

I read Awaken Sleeper way back when it was coming out but I probably dropped it before it got to the point it's at now.

I've probably read Magician but it's been so long I couldn't tell you honestly, so I'll probably reread through it.

    Thanks!

Give Awaken Sleeper a reread. It's worth it.

Denarian series' popularity with DLP is surprising.

Why? Shezza is a member here, pretty sure he worked on it in WbA from memory. The Denarian series is probably the origin of a lot of DLP's preferences to be honest, it was likely the best of the indy!Harry era.

Edit: Definitely would also recommend Awaken Sleeper. It starts slow but it's great, this thread has made me decide to reread it because it's been a while.

    For this reason.

The character is edgy, like every Indy!Harry but with Dresden files thrown in.

This forum's taste has improved drastically with time.
